Yes, I agree with Dr. Fiamengo’s stance on freedom of speech. We live in a free country and should be allowed to speak our minds. What she said or believes might not resonate with what is called the “norm” but ultimately she has the right to have her opinion. I also believe that the students had the right to debate and disagree with her as long as the demonstration was conducted in a civilized and orderly manner. I do not agree with the disruptive behavior that certain individuals displayed by not allowing her to

During game 3 of the World Series between the Houston Astros and the Los Angeles Dodgers, Yuli Gurriel hit a solo homerun off of Yu Darvish but that wasn’t the end of the story. When he got back to the dugout he was caught by the camera making a “slant-eyed” gesture and saying in Spanish the word “chinito”, which is slang for “little Chinese guy.”

* Equity affects nearly all aspects of our lives none less than sports such as beach volleyball. Sport is an integral part of today’s society and as such, sport should be organised, participated in and distributed in an equitable manner. The aim of equity in sports is to encourage all people, regardless of age, gender, disability or ethnic origin to participate in and develop their potential within sport. Disputes over equity have been apparent in our society for hundreds of years, over such things as gender, religion or race. A framework developed by Figueroa deals with equity. It consists of five levels that link together – individual, interpersonal, institutional, structural and cultural. The following paragraphs demonstrate the use of
So, Marlowe Stroker (my 15 year old daughter) looks over at me today while watching the news and replay of Trump's (Billy Bush) talk about women and she says, "Are you voting for him?" No, I am not...but, I cannot vote for Hillary, so I will write in Pence's name when I vote. Hillary may win but I cannot vote for either of them. To me,they are both on the level of egotistical, narcissistic and bigoted jerks. Either way, we as a country do not win. However, I will have taken a stand, a very small stand for my daughter and her future, which is so much better than generations before

Guns are used for protection, power, and sporting purposes. Guns are beneficial to society when used by trained professionals, such as the police and military. When in untrained hands, however, guns can cause death to friends, neighbors, family members and children. Due to their small size, weight and concealability, handguns pose some of the greatest risks to the public, ranging from accidental death in the home to mass shootings in public places. Consequently, private ownership of handguns should be banned by the US government due to their irresponsible use in murders and accidental deaths, the increased dangers to others caused by their concealability, and the availability of alternative, non-lethal self-defense weapons.
As the president of United Liberty, it is my job to ensure that I make the correct decision during war with the opposing country, Gertany. The choices that confront me are 1) blow up the weapons factory, 2) to not blow up the weapons factory, and 3) try to reach a peace treaty.

Many people agree with the statement that through the media in movies, television shows, and video games, showing violence affects the youth. Even though many agree, some have different opinions of explaining their reasoning behind their thoughts. Grossman is a great example because his reasoning comes from a lot of his personal experiences from a lot of different kind of training from the military. He believes his experiences from classical conditioning is connected to the classical conditioning that the youth experience. Grossman states, “adolescents in movie theaters across the nation, and watching television at home, are seeing the detailed, horrible suffering and killing of human beings, and they are learning to associate this killing a suffering with entertainment”
Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Cask of Amontillado” is a goosebump-evoking tale that follows one man’s twisted plot for revenge. Although carnival season is in full-swing above ground, Fortunato finds himself being lead to his death underground in the catacombs. His “past insults” will ensure that he will never again participate in such feasts and merriment; Montresor, his “frenemy”, will make sure of that. As if the story isn’t creepy enough, Poe uses dialogue and sensory details to produce a mood that is both suspenseful and dark.
Despite their opinions, free speech was a great way in this situation for students to rally together and publically inform the rest of campus of their beliefs. In the school newspaper, The Daily Emerald, CJ Ciaramelle wrote “About 300 students from across the campus community — student unions, Greek Life, the ASUO, the Survival Center, the Women’s Center — showed up at the meeting to protest the Forum” (1). Although the majority of people protested against the forum the right to free speech, it is important because it allows students to make decisions on their own and invite students to do the same.
Most major arguments of God are rooted in the existence, or lack thereof. However there has been a continuous debate regarding the specific characteristics of God. In this debate, Charles Hartshorne, Alfred North Whitehead, and other the processed theologians oppose Anselm, Augustine, and other classic theologians. Although there are many points of disagreement, there are some characteristics for which both sides can agree upon.
