It is very distracting and all of the students end up missing the whole point of what the teacher is saying. In this essay, I'm going to persuade you into believing that fidget spinners are a useful tool to help people who have trouble staying focused. Fidget spinners were created by a student who struggled to stay on task. Fidget spinners come in all shapes and sizes, for example; some spinners have three sides that revolve around a center bearing system that spins quietly. Some spinners only have two sides with more bearings to make the spinner spin smoother, quieter, and longer.
The simple task is to staple paper by using a Rube Goldberg machine, which has 5 different forms of energy.
First, I believe Fidget Spinners should be allowed at school because they help people concentrate. I believe this because, it gives you something to focus on. It helps people who can't sit still have
Should fidget spinners be allowed at school? Although almost every kid has fidget spinners, we should not allow them at school. To me personally, I think that fidget spinners should not be allowed because they are a distraction, cause problems, and are toys. Some people say that they help them concentrate, and that could be true, but then other kids just mess around and cause problems like stealing other fidget spinners, annoying other people with them, and some even light up. You should take my advice because I have ADHD, and I use to have a fidget spinner.
I believe that they should be banned because they are a distraction and they will keep kids from focusing on their work. I also know that no therapist or doctor has proven that fidget spinners are a treatment. Some of the therapist say that kids treat them more like toys then a treatment.People thinks this helps relieve stress, reduce anxiety, and treat ADD or ADHD but really you're just getting some finger workout. The toy everyone is talking about may be fun but nobody has proven it to be a medical benefits. That is why i believe that fidget spinners should be banned from my school.
First of all in the article (WWW.Washingtonpost.com) the title says schools are banning fidget spinners, calling them nuisances and even dangerous by Valerie Strauss. In the article is says this about fidget spinners “They can be distracting when the kids use them as toys to do tricks.” What this is saying is that when the kids in class use their fidget spinners in class as toys and it makes the other kids not focus on what they are doing. How it can be distracting to other kids is because they have
Hello there, today we are talking about why we kids should have fidgets. Such as slime stress ball squishies and way more. Because we all know how it feels when teachers and other adult take are fidgets. So yes teachers will take your fidget some times because maybe you're off task or just being inappropriate with it
Schools just do not understand these popular new toys, called fidgets. Fidgets are “toys” that come in many different colors, patterns, and styles including; spinners, cubes, and 12 sided figures. Fidgets are best for kids who have trouble concentrating or have a diagnosed disability.(ADD, ADHD, OCD, autism, anxiety, depression, or a learning disability) All others should leave them at home that’s the kids who make fidgets a distraction. Fidgets are supposed to help your child in school, but experts say they are doing the opposite; I disagree.
One reason I believe fidget spinners should be banned, is because they can be distracting to the student. Principal Schwartz says, “...fidget spinners help with concentration. The people selling spinners may make this claim, but there is no concrete evidence that the claim is true. In fact, many psychologists have expressed suspicion about this alleged benefit.” The student spinning the fidget spinner isn’t even concentrated on the lesson ahead. They are only worried about spinning their fidget spinner then learning the lesson ahead. Teachers are just wasting their breath, because the student wouldn’t even know the first thing they learned.
Fidgets are a great way to keep children calm and collected, but in order for them to work, there needs to be expectations. For me as an adult, I can get a little antsy if I sit for a long period of time to what do I do? I just grab my phone out and mess around on it. In a school setting that cannot happen. Some different alternatives could be a stress ball, fidget cube, bag of marbles, or tangles, etc. Some expectations for the fidgets can be: keep it somewhere where it won’t be a distraction, use it nicely and properly, and if it gets in the way of work, then it gets taken away. If expectations get set, fidgets can be a great way to keep your student focused and not get over stimulated while getting their work done.
