Throughout this semester I have enjoyed every field experience. I wasn’t sure what to expect, when we were told on the first day of school that we would have to observe field experiences. I never even heard of doing field experiences in previous classes. Thankfully, it was something I took pleasure in observing. The first experience with Jalisa Scott from CADD was not what I expected at all. Jalisa Scott was so well kept and humble. Her presentation wasn’t long and drawn out, instead it was very inspiring and educational. I was captivated by what her job required of her and how she fulfilled her role faithfully no matter how difficult some situations were. The second experience with Jim Johnson from the Freeman Library was very interesting.
Lastly, Sally did an excellent jJob at communicating with her patients. She could explain the procedure in technical terms but also make it understandable to the patient. She was very good at explaining the procedure to them without belittling them. I am very good at understanding procedures on a technical level but then simplifying them to make them more understandable both to others and myself.
Alex Johnson was moving to Hollywood, California. He moved there because his dad had recently died in a police shooting, his mom had lost her job as a manager for a bank, and he was having trouble in school. Alex just wanted to restart his life. When they moved Alex thought he would never fit in.
The main idea of the book was believing. Lady Bird Taylor believed in Lyndon Johnson. That's why they got married so soon, because she saw potential and ambition in him. She stood behind her husband in everything he did before and during his presidency. And she never spoke negatively about him to anyone.
Is it ever okay to burn an American flag as means of challenging the rules? In 1984 at a republican national convention in Dallas, Texas a man named Gregory Lee Johnson burned a flag in protest of the newly appointed Reagan administration policies which led to his arrest and prosecution. By looking at the Texas v. Johnson case, one can see it was right for Johnson to challenge the rules by burning the flag in protest of the reagan administration policies which is important because it represents freedom of symbolic speech in the first amendment.
In A Case Study: Theo Wilson and Lynn Johnson, both of which had many similarities in terms of experiencing things on a daily basis, but how they viewed themselves as well as how others viewed them, their race, class, gender and sexuality played a huge significant factor in their lives during different eras in the United States of America. In the 1950s and 1960s, the Southern segregated urban communities differed from Northern segregated urban communities in a variety of ways from then to present day. Additionally, amongst the differences there was a lot that changed that changed within the work force as well as the family.
Lonnie George. Johnson is a former Air Force and NASA engineer who invented the massively popular super soaker water gun. Lonnie was born on October 6, 1949 in mobile, Alabama. When he was in high school his buddies gave him a nickname “The Professor”. Lonnie was the only African American that represented his high school in 1968 science fair sponsored by the junior engineering technical society (JETS). He earned his Master’s Degree in nuclear engineering from Tuskegee university.
You carefully chosen Elaine R. Green, Ed.D. HS-BCP along with Jackie Griswold, Pd.D.. HS-BCPW as the two career profiles for to reflect upon.
Calvin Johnson often piles his 6-foot-4 body inside one of his vintage cars and drives into the countryside to be by himself. He loves the freedom and solitude of driving along isolated roads in Michigan, Illinois and Indiana. There is a stretch of highway between Detroit and Chicago where the road dips so he can see empty stretches before him.
On 4/5/17 I met Mr. Johnson at the VA eye clinic to and eye examination. This was a long appointment to allow for eye drops and different providers performing testing. He has finished physical therapy and has a home exercise program. All testing and appointments have been completed and Mr. Johnson is back to baseline. He has been cleared to drive but due to some financial difficulties is unable to get a car loan. There are no further appointments scheduled related to the auto accident.
I worked with Sally Joe over the course of the semester and it was a wonderful time, at the beginning she did not really want to open up to me but towards the end I could not get her to quit talking. She is a remarkable young lady and I am so happy I got to work with her over the course of the semester.
William H. Johnson was a successful painter who was born on March 18, 1901 in Florence, South Carolina. Johnson began exploring his level of creativity as a child, and it only amplified from there because he discovered that he wanted to be an artist. After making this discovery he attended the National Academy of Design in New York which is where he met his mentor Charles Webster Hawthorne who had a strong influential impact on Johnson. Once Johnson graduated he moved to Paris where he was exposed to different artists, various artistic abilities, and evolutionary creations. Throughout Johnson’s time in Paris he grew as an artist, and adapted a “folk” style where he used lively colors and flat figures. Johnson used the “folk” style to express the experience of most African-Americans during the years of the 1930s and 1940s.
Diane T. Lucero, a very kind and noble person who has achieved so many things in her life, was interviewed by her students on October 24, 2015. We have learned so much from her in the past couple of weeks during our
In coming here I expected to just learn about engineering and create a toy for a kid in need, but it ended up being so much more than that. I can now differentiate the types of engineering and which ones I like the best. This camp also helped me realize how I like the physical building and sketching process of engineering rather than the computer components. I also didn’t expect most of the trips and tours that we went on to be intriguing, but I found myself enjoying almost all of them.
I found Melissa Tirendi’s background to be very interesting because it directly relates to my academic career. I found it very relatable to know that she was also an Eller student at the University of Arizona. I was very relieved obtained her rewarding job at Vanguard from an internship from a career fair at the University of Arizona. Overall, Vanguard as a whole sparked my interest and really makes me consider a future with them. I appreciate their idea of longevity and ethical cooperation. I really liked how they allow employees to move around jobs to find what they are most interested in which leads to longevity amongst employees. I found her presentation very rewarding to me because it gave me information about a company I knew very little
I feel that Carla Reese’s approach at Celeritas had potential to be effective, but in the end it proved to not have the intended effect. She did a good job in really diving deep into the main issues by doing the private interviews. By doing this she was able to get some good insight into what was causing the dysfunction at Celeritas. I also like that she made a point to address each of the main issues at the offsite. This had a positive effect in sparking discussion at the meeting.
