The film “A Midsummer Night’s Dream was a story originally wrote by William Shakespeare. The film itself was directed by John Fenner. The movie was set in Lazio, Tuscany a very beautiful place. “A Midsummer Night’s Dream is a film about two couples in their early twenties, the couple who is madly in love with one another runaway into the woods to be together while the others follow them, but when the fairies get involved things get a little or a lot complicated. The film has a lot of conflict and resolutions throughout, and defiantly keeps you on your toes. Overall, the film was well done and I really enjoyed it. My favorite characters would have to be Helena (Calista Flockhart) and Puck the fairy (Stanley Tucci). I have picked these two out from the rest because they do not play the most wanted parts. Helena, for instance, was played by the amazingly talented actress, Calista Flockhart, she had to play a woman who was in love with a man who did not love her back. She was constantly begging him to love her, some might even say she was annoying or desperate. I found the part to be quite humorous at times even though the language was hard to understand in some scenes. She played the part very well and was very convincing. Stanley Tucci, played the fairy Puck, who was constantly messing everything up, even when he wasn’t trying to make a mess of things. He has to act tipsy in the early stages of the film and pulled it off with ease. He was very well suited for the job and
