Released on June 30th, 1995 an extraordinary out breaking movie Apollo 13 hit the charts. Told from a true story of the 13th Apollo mission bound for the moon or the “most tragic NASA event”, the movie Apollo 13 is constructed off of the occurrences of an Apollo 13 lunar mission. It was directed by Ron Howard and released in the United States in 1995. The amazing movie Apollo 13 was given an award for the AMPAS, best picture, best film editing, and the best sound which were many accomplishments for this film. This movie is definitely under the drama category as you will see after watching it.
In the movie, Tom Hanks plays astronaut Jim Lovell, Bill Paxton plays astronaut Fred Haise, and Kevin Bacon plays astronaut Jack Swigert. These brave astronauts were originally supposed to fly Apollo 14 but were changed to fly Apollo 13 and faced many situations that could have taken off of their lives. Throughout Apollo 13 it displays the troubles behind the mission of this very dangerous task at hand. There are problems with the mission controls and this causes near death incidents in the space ship. As I watched this interesting and thrilling movie I discovered that the scientist was very creative in their missions in space. In the end, an oxygen tank explodes causing the undertaking to be shorter than intended and astronauts sacrificing their lives for Apollo 13 mission.
