Filtering For the Good Everybody knows that people filter in and out of your life over time. Many lessons can be learned from these kind of people. Most of them can have quite an impact on the way we live or how we carry ourselves. There’s a few choice people that have filtered into my life leaving a huge impact on me and I’m glad they have never left. Many people call me “Daddy’s Little Girl”. There’s quite a bit of truth in that because my dad has never failed to have my back through anything. He’s my dad; I confide in him about everything. He’s always there to talk to and the advice that he gives me works wonders. I don’t confide more in anyone else but my dad. He has my back through events that I don’t even think that I need help with.
At the age of 10, I began to learn how to transfer my dad in and out of his bed on my own. I learned how to use certain supplies to help meet all of his needs. I needed to learn all of this is such a short time because my mom was starting up her own business, so she wasn't home often. My brother and I took turns getting my dad settled down for bed every night. I’ve never minded the responsibility. I have always definitely been "daddy's girl". Although I was exposed to many experiences and dealt with difficult situations in caring for my father at such a young age, I can honestly say it has helped me become a more independent person and made me the woman I am today. You might be asking why I’m writing so much about my father, but he was the
Many people today believe that true sucess is your financial or social status. However, I believe that true sucess is living out your purpose and doing everything out of your heart. I always feel the need to give and encourage others. I feel as though I am changing the world around me one person at a time. My random act of kindness enables me to serve my community and to spread love and common courtesy to everyone. This essentially is my short and long-term goal.
As a life scout, I personally feel like I have come a long way from when I was just a scout. Boy scouts has helped me so much throughout my whole life. Whether it be the camp outs, enjoyable scout meetings, or just the things I learned in scouting, I would not be young man I am today without my time in scouts.
Like many little girls, I grew up worshiping my dad. A small shy girl, hiding behind him, using him as my protection from the world, by his side every possible chance. I wanted to be whoever he wanted to be, wanted to do everything he wanted me to do. I did everything to make my dad proud of me, for years, trying to do my best in everything…all for him, yet somehow, it was never enough. The summer going into my sophomore year, when my dad was, as he usually was, drunk, told me that he was ashamed to have me as a daughter. This was the ultimate turning point that marked my transition from childhood into adulthood.

For starters, I was a daddy’s girl. I looked up to him for guidance and assurance. He was the one I hustled to for help and the one who endlessly supported me in softball. This strong, gifted man was all that I could ever ask for in a father. Nothing could ever happen to him, right? Wrong!
Some arts that a well rounded individual would focus on are dance, music, theatre, opera, leadership, and education. Most students aren't achieving any of those arts today. It has been proven that children and teens are sadly losing their ability to think creatively because of the lack of arts and education given in many schools today. In order to be a well rounded individual you need good education, cause that’s the key. You can’t learn any arts without education. If all children in the world could attend school with a good education there would be a less likely chance of dropouts, low test scores, and crimes. It would also help out our world and communities.
We've all heard the term, "Daddy's little girl," and are fully aware of what it means. In that, it represents a bond that a daughter shares with her dad. Furthermore, it's the training ground that a wise dad uses to instill values, and expectations into the life of his daughter. Psalms 68:4-5 says: "Sing to God, sing praises to His name; Extol Him who rides on the clouds, by His name YAH, and rejoice before Him. (5) A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy habitation." My dear sisters, on
The question is what drives me to do what I do? As Dan Ariely states “But instead, people go down, and after they recover, they go up again. And if you think about mountain climbing as an example, it suggests all kinds of things. It suggests that we care about reaching the end, a peak. It suggests that we care about the fight, about the challenge.” This quote underlines the significance of what drives me to do what I do today and it plays an enormous role in what I will do in the future. It suggests an idea that as long as I fail as a person,I can get back up and fix my mistakes I made. This is an important key that relies on making myself who I am and what I believe in. It automatically relates to what I do every day and how passionate I

The first time I asked somebody out, I was fourteen years old. Having just discovered the joys of relationships and sexual desire, there was a part of me which simply wanted to stay put in the awkward period of prepubescence where boys don’t exist and all you have to deal with is body image, grades, and the newfound stress of rapidly approaching adolescence. That wasn’t going to happen though. I had already dug myself deep into that hole, and there was no way in Hell I was going to exert all that effort to climb back out.
“Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do”(Pele). I believe in the love for sports. Loving a sport means you have a passion for the sport. For me, my love is soccer. I play because i love the game, the green grass, the painted field, and the one goal at the end of the field and the other goal at the other side. When you love a sport you can’t wait to get out there and start playing. When you are playing the sport you love it’s like no other feeling in the world. When times are bad you can always turn to your sport and forget about the outside world and just play. Sports are a way to have fun, relieve stress, and to just get out there and
