Final: My thinking about living with an open and critical mind has definitely both been challenged and changed through this experience. During this experience I gave up drinking soda and only replaced it with water. I took a personality test and learned a lot about why I am the way that I am. Also, I started journaling for my emotional health and well being. I was challenged because I thought that overall I had a pretty open mind and was relatively good at thinking through things critically. Through my personality test I was seen to be someone to avoid conflict, which naturally mean that I am not great at looking at things critically. I learned that from the personality test this is right on with my personality and so is the guilt I feel when I do not get them out. I learned that the conflict I have with myself when I am internally mad at my husband (because I avoid conflict) is because we are very different in our parenting personality and styles. Although all aspects of my experience have been great and beneficial and I have learned more about myself than I thought possible I feel that taking the personality test and being able to understand and apply what it taught me was the highlight of this whole process. I believe that I learned and grew from it more than I ever thought I would be able to. I was able to read the results and understand why I am sensitive to certain situations. I have never had such a great understanding of myself nor have I had such an open mindedness to applying what I have learned to my daily life. I am very thankful for this experience and for understanding and being able to apply ILP. You wrote, “It is your life; this is an opportunity to engage with it!” and you could not be more correct. This was an absolute pleasure for me and although I came in thinking that I was just going through the steps I really was improving my life for the better. There is nothing more valuable than having a better understanding of life and having the knowledge to understand
