Imagine a group of kids are walking down the street heading to school and all the sudden something falls from the tree. As the group looks up they find it to be a brownish oddly shaped leaf has fallen from the tree above. Once everyone notices they can consider that the leaves are now falling and the season of fall is about to be approaching. Many Americans in the northern states tend to see leaves fall in the months of September through November. These months always bring family and friends together for college football games and Thanksgiving. What make these months so special are all the fun activities going on in our busy lives. There is the beginning of school starting for Kindergartners and the last first day of high school for seniors. These months bring high school pep rallies and homecoming festivities. Most people have considered fall as being one of my favorite times of the year due to the leaves falling and the changing of seasons. …show more content…
These months bring hash cold winters for many of the world’s climates. The temperatures drop to the low twenties and cause the trees to go into a process called Dormancy, which keeps the trees alive in the winter months. These months bring the winter Holidays such as Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa for many religions. During these holidays, many families celebrate with traditions such as baking cookies, putting up Christmas trees and even holiday parties. These months bring the start of a New Year where many Americans want to lose weight, travel more, quite smoking, and start eating healthy. These individuals want a fresh start to the New Year and this is why many Americans enjoy the season of
The soft crunch of a leaf underfoot feels like fall in a way that not many things do. It screams, "fall is here!" louder than the town crier over a megaphone. The sound sends us all diving into our drawers, pulling out scarves and gloves, turtlenecks and boots -- and it seems like everyone at the park got the memo.
The work autumn may also remember and so she might point and say proudly to the adult with her. ‘ Look those leaves are falling too! Is that because its autumn?’
The sound of the recently fallen, brown and gold leaves beneath feet. Autumn has arrived.
Fall is a time of change. The leaves change from green to brilliant shades of brown, red and yellow. The seasons begin to change from the dog days of summer to the cool stillness of winter. Fall is my favorite time of the year. When asked to choose just one chapter from A Sand County Almanac, my first idea was to look in the section about the fall.
In conclusion after reading this you can understand how awesome fall is and how are lives changes from going to the beach, laying in the hot sand to cozying up to the fire place with your hot
For my fellow writers, the onset of fall can be an interesting time. The weather is chilling, so you actually want to stay inside and write. It’s the perfect time to act like an Instagram star and curl up with your computer, hot chocolate in hand, and write one of the best scenes in your work in progress. Few things can compare with working on a story in autumn.
Misty dew covers the entire surface of the field. The yellowing corn stalks stand erect and proud until my grandpas tractor comes to end their growth. Autumn slowly weaves its way in and leaves a stain of brilliant color in its wake. Not everyone enjoys such colors, but when you take a second to step outside your doorstep, and look at all the wonders that surround you, you’d be surprised at how marvelous the world can truly be. To me, Autumn is a time for relishing in the colors. Soaking in the oranges and reds while sitting by a warm fire. It’s a time for remembering that everything does end, but it does not have to end in the dreadful way we think it will. Autumn is a time for the closeness of others to keep out the chill of the morning and the starry-eyed darkness of the night.
Fall is the time of year in which individuals see that not only do people and lives change, but nature itself changes. As fall comes into full swing, the trees change color and the leaves fall off such that the tree can grow new leaves next year and continue growing. This connects to many individuals due to its similarity to childhood. During my upbringing, fall was always a source of renewal and in turn many memories developed around the season.
For the touch of a friendly hand and a talk beside the fire, it is the time for HOME. Its time when you want to stir hot cocoa with a candy cane, gather extra blankets, make paper snowflakes, wear mittens, be thankful for warm homes, read a good book, go sledding, get cozy by the fireplace, build a snowman, eat gingerbread, give to those in need, have a snowball fight, bake cookies, enjoy a mug of tea. Winter is not only about the snow falling that the very fact of is such an amazement, but about family, about Christmas. The time to know that this is when Jesus was born. And though his family had nothing, they had everything.
Fall is a season I grew to appreciate, and as I grow older I fall more and more in love with the season. The colors, the holidays, the changes, the food, the clothes, the boots – everything about fall is like magic to me.
As a final point, when winter comes around, holidays flood in like water into a bathtub. Just some examples, New Years eve/Day, Christmas and, the winter solstice.
I enjoy the changes in nature during the fall. The auburn, crimson, and golden leaves intermingle as they slowly flutter to the ground. They litter the landscape like confetti after a parade. Animals begin to prepare for winter by storing nuts, growing their thick winter coats, and migrating to a warmer climate. The sun’s rays warm my skin enough for me to yearn to be outside and a crisp breeze blows through my hair; the cool air feels fresh after the humid stickiness of summer, and I feel
The sunless sky covered the woods over the treetops which created a canopy over my head. The crimson and auburn foliage was a magnificent sight, as this was the season known as Fall. There was a gentle breeze, creating the single sound of rustling leaves. The leaves appeared as though they were dying to fall out of the tree and join their companions on the forest floor. Together with pine needles and other flora the leaves formed a thick springy carpet for me to walk upon.
Leaves falling off the tree’s and children jumping in the raked leave piles. Pumpkin patches growing in the neighbors garden sparked a curiosity of wanting to pick them. The fall colors remain in my mind whenever I think of autumn.
This night, in particular, was very eventful. The sun was still setting, the air was getting crisp, and the full moon was coming out. It was the beginning of fall and the leaves were bright with fall colors.
