Every employee who has completed their initial probationary period in state service is entitled to one Personal Holiday (PH) per fiscal year.*
Employees who do not/have never served a probationary period are not entitled to a PH. (eg. Student Assistant, Seasonal Clerk)
The PH is credited on July 1st, unless the employee is currently serving his/her initial probationary period, or is on a leave of absence. In this case, the PH is credited upon completion of the probationary period or upon return from the leave.
The PH is equivalent to an employees time base at the time it is used (up to a maximum of 8 hours). Refer to the Fractional Time Base Employees Chart for part-time employees. This chart can be found on the Intranet page for AC Resources

When it comes to the government not many people fully understand what is going on, especially when it comes to the budget and how they decide what to spend things on. Some people just tend to look at a country and see a huge amount of debt and just assume that the country isn’t doing well. People see a country that overcame many conflicts and is still trying to develop further, as much as possible. A country that has a lot of opportunities. But those opportunities would be in place if there wasn’t a process for the federal government budget. The United States government is filled with many checks and balances to avoid conflicts. Whether it’s though
*In FY18-19, every staff member will receive a 7% increase in pay (from FY17-18) to keep up with inflation (and providing they exhibit exceptional performance). Travel, supplies, and food also slightly increase from FY17-18 to FY18-19 to account for approximately an additional five youth regularly served. It is expected that through word of mouth and promotion via the art installations around the city, more youth will want to regularly participate in the programming. Four undergraduate students will help to support the staff and youth as there will likely be more complex art installations. However, consultants will be paid less in FY18-19 since the bulk of their duties with curriculum development will be completed in FY17-18.
