For me, five words that describe a mindful living learning community are serenity, wholesomeness, awareness, security, and fellowship. Serenity; for a sense of calmness around me, wholesomeness; because I believe that a healthy mind is a healthy being, awareness; due to the fact that we should be educated in keeping a clear mind, security; because I believe that I should be in an environment where I feel safe, and fellowship; for having a sense of community around me. Character strengths that I believe I have to create these qualities are a sense of practicality, calmness, rationality, friendliness, and the willingness to accept and learn. My ability to stay calm, practical, and rational in most situations will allow for little conflict
Point Loma Nazarene University (PLNU) has an established community living agreement, which directs all its members on how to carry themselves within the institution’s environment, as well as in the community. The institution’s mission is to offer higher education within a Christian community where character is modeled and transformed to express Christian faith. Students who join the institution are expected to maintain good conducts, which are guided by the Holy Spirit.
Exhibiting spiritual health by behaving morally and ethically in all our dealings (both personal and in business), injects harmony into our lives. Morris believes that harmony is at the heart of ethics. Spiritually healthy people create socially harmonious relationships just by the very act of doing the right thing.
In order to be a well-rounded person in the contemporary society one would first have to be educated, as it provides the opportunity to enrich knowledge and to develop the ability to interact with others on a higher level. Interaction is another important concept that one needs to consider, as by developing strong relations with people regardless of their status, he or she is more likely to experience progress. The individual needs to be able to put across a feeling of grace in order to be appreciated by persons he or she interacts with.
It is on a personal note, that I believe that character is effected by one’s relationship with the other three core values. With the proper sense of scholarship in a person they would have the intelligence needed to get through life. The correct amount of leadership in a person they would have responsibility and the ability to take charge when necessary. Then with just the right sense of service they would be helpful and assist their community or others when they are in need of it. It is also my personal believe that I as a person do not have a perfect character but will always make an effort to have an exemplary

I love to learn. At a young age, this passion allowed me to explore at my own pace and cultivated my fierce determination to seek the truth. Now I am surrounded by people who encourage me to try everything. I ruthlessly pursue my interests with the support of my friends and teachers. My pioneer spirit led to my exploration of marine life at Catalina Island, late nights to observe stars, roles in musicals, and even an attempt at belly-dancing. That support developed my willingness to try new things, so I always attend events given by friends and acquaintances. By giving others the same support, I work to create a community of interdependency. From these relationships, I know how to collaborate. Working well
The Society is all about integrity, giving back to the community, and being a great all around student. I am determined to meet my goals, but willing to accept others’ input. I can work well in a team environment, whether it is in sports, school, or my community. Having integrity means being able to do these things unconditionally. Someone who has integrity is willing to accept others, but assert themself as well. It ties into giving back to the community; working together and accepting ideas leads to others being successful in their goals. Finally, an all around student applies these characteristics to their everyday lives; being an all around student does not just mean getting good grades in every subject, but in all aspects of life. An all around student does well in class and the community.

They also believed that character traits such as “respect, truth, and brotherhood,” could be gained from an education.

psychological capacities and a positive ethical climate, to foster greater self-awareness, an internalized moral perspective, balanced processing of information, and relational transparency on the part of leaders working with followers, fostering positive self-development” (Walumbwa et al., 2008, p. 94).
After completing the inventory based on Jane Loevinger’s work, I designate myself at Conscientious stage according to her model. Reason for this is goals and concepts are obtainable and recognized, and a new logic of duties are presented. In this model, I see choices being accessible at your own leisure. “I think of myself as having choices in life, not just a pawn of fate” (p.R49). Three of the most personally significant qualities that I would like to acquire are “I have a deep understanding of other peoples’ viewpoints, and because of this would view my relationships with others as having greater mutuality” (p.R49). I chose this quality because I believe for individuals to have a greater understanding forms a stronger bond of support
Consciousness, or awareness, is another helpful aspect of becoming a good student. The good student must be aware of their (agr) surroundings and know what is going on in the world around them. We must strive to relate what is happening around us to what we are learning. This should be important to us because we should care about what is going on politically, academically, socially, and spiritually. Being aware and paying attention is a good trait to continually learn and apply.
