The main focus of the Flat Belly Diet is weight loss, which results in the loss of around 10-20 pounds in a month of dieting. The Flat Belly Diet incorporates food which contain monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFAs), as they can target and destroy belly fat while keeping you full to prevent overeating. Most foods that contain MUFAs are plant based which include, nuts, seeds, chocolate, avocados, olive oil, and more. However MUFAs are to be taken precisely in every meal and snack unlike its friend the saturated fats, which can harden and cause clogging in the arteries, while MUFAs keep your blood vessels nice and soft after they are digested. Men gained weight around the middle on the saturated fat diet and lost it from the limbs and trunk on the MUFA diet, according to findings published in the British Journal of Nutrition the researchers concluded that the replacement of saturated fats with monounsaturated fats can lead to a significant reduction in body weight and fat
