Traditionally work practices in the household was that the man would go to work while his partner would stay at home ,looking after the children and the household functions.But in the modern world times both parents are required to work due to the rising cost of living, paying for the family house and the day to day cost of raising children. Flexible working conditions allow parents to manage their work and personal commitments without loosing hours in the workplace as a whole. Flexible work options can help business to attract and retain employees by making it easier for them to balance their work and outside-work commitments. They can also enable your business to achieve a better match between staffing levels and workload or customer service demands. Drawing on past experiences of my past work history and changes in workplace agreements ,from the wording of sick leave to personal leave i have found that it now gives me the ability to take time off to care for my children, where as in the past that job was left the sole responsibility of my partner.
