1. WHY UF?
I choose to attend the University of Florida for the culture of community that exists on the campus. The University of Florida has always been a school that wants its students to succeed, but what is the most interesting aspect is that the students push each other together to achieve their goals. We live in a society where it is a "Man vs Man" world and that only one can succeed. Here at the University of Florida, we challenge those social norms and try to create a pathway that fits for everyone. Here, we just don't have dreams, because as gators, we make those dreams plans and those plans into reality. Being able to accomplish or do something that makes your life fulfilling is what made me want to come to the University of Florida and continue to give back to the place that gave me the chance to improve myself and help others improve too.
2. HOW DO YOU GO BOLD?
I go bold by pushing myself to do actions that might be outside of my comfort zone to achieve my goals. An example of this was when I decided to apply to be a US Senate Page. When I was growing up, I was reserved and didn’t typically start

Although my parents graduated from a small college in Miami, they recognized what it would mean to be a Gator and attend the University of Florida. They told me that when you are a Gator, you are more than just a member of the school, you are a part of a family and a nation of people who I would create lifetime bonds with. Additionally, they also told me that being a Gator is not just doing the “chomp” and going crazy at the football games, but living a life that can impact others in profound ways. Through the Florida Cicerones, I hope to inspire and educate students who might be interested in the University of Florida and that being a Gator is a lifestyle you live and carry with you forever, not just a short 4-year
Finally, FAU is perfect for me because of its location. Both the climate and its distance from home strengthen my resolve to go to FAU. The college campus is only 45 minutes away from my home. This will allow me the freedom to exercise my independence, gain new experiences, and still feel the security of being near
I would like to attend Florida State University for multiple reasons. First of all, I already feel a personal connection with Florida due to the fact that it is my home state where I was born. The sense of familiarity gives me comfort. I also have family that lives in Florida if anything were to happen or go wrong. I would like to pursue a major in Arts and Sciences and also have a minor in psychology.
I decided to go to UT because I always wanted to go to this university for a long time. A lot of my family members have gone here. Therefore, it always seems the right choice to go here. Also, I came to UT because I wanted to get out of my comfort zone. Most people that graduate from my high school always ends up staying at home. However, I wanted to be different. Lastly, I came to UT because of the immense diversity and many different opportunities here.
The main reason I see UCF as one of the best colleges for myself is the campus’s distance away from my home. The UCF campus is within driving distance of where I currently live, allowing me to live in the same house while I attend all my classes each day. Reputation has also always been important to me when looking for a college. If a place does not have a good reputation, I do not see much reason to give it a chance. However, UCF is known as one of the biggest colleges in the US and one of the most successful. I also had two friends attend UCF, one for the exact same major as I plan to go for and one that took a very similar major. Both of them have highly recommended UCF for the major I wish to take. Though having this kind of reputation is nice, I was told multiple times to visit the campus myself because not every college is made for everyone. So, I took a tour of UCF on a school sponsored trip and found everything I had heard to be true. The campus was beautiful and the staff were all very kind. After spending the day on the campus I knew this college, after everything I had heard and where it was located, was the one I wanted to
Lamar County, Alabama. It is a place that many people have never heard of, but, to me, it is the place that I proudly call “home.” Lamar County is one of the only counties in the entire state of Alabama that without a Wal-Mart. The town that I live in is simply tiny, with one store and one caution light. Despite that, Beaverton, Alabama has transformed me into the young woman that I am today. By going to college and furthering my education, I will be able to bring hope, vision, knowledge, and financial prosperity back to my community.
Ah, Graduation. It seems as if it’s a long way off from today. However, that does not mean that we should not construct ourselves for the best career changer of our lives. Even though, I am not much of a partier, I do know of a few venues I would like to remunerate myself with family and friends in attendance. I know I may have to have at least two parties. My home away from home is Pensacola, Florida. So it's just essential for me to want to have a commencement party with my friends residing in Florida.
Without a doubt the Universities have a lot in common and just a few differences. Although they bear some differences Florida state university caught my eyes because of their outstanding programs, their environment and the structure of the University. They both have a tremendous number of things to offer from the programs to the social activities, I prefer Florida State University because I simply felt more at home when I visited the campus back in 2015. From that time on, I knew that I wanted to become a part of the Seminole family at Florida State
I am applying to the UWM, because it's a large school with outstanding credentials, a strong community and lots of school spirit. This is exactly what I'm looking for for in my college environment - a large population where I can meet new people every day, get involved in many activities, and build relationships with my professors. I also look forward to living in snow again - I moved from Denmark to California a few years ago, and I miss the winter weather!
Ever since I was born, my blood ran blue and orange. in fact, my parents often joke that I came out of the womb doing a gator chomp. Being from Nebraska, I am surrounded by die-hard University of Nebraska Cornhuskers fans that frequently run my ear off about being a Florida Gator fan. But being a very small minority has never stopped me. During elementary school, I was known as the "Gator girl" and that name has followed me to this day. I am rarely seen not sporting some sort of Florida Gator gear, my car is completely decked out with a Gator wheel cover and several stickers, and I even go so far as to annoy all my friends on Twitter. I fill their feeds with numerous Florida retweets, ranging from sports updates to even weather updates. I was
I selected Governors State University because I earned my Bachelors there and because of the small classes and the diversity of the school. The professors there help you through the courses and are dedicated to their students. I am captivated about succeeding, but even more passionate about Counseling. GSU has started me towards my career and I am positive it will lead me to where I belong in my field. As a student, I am an active participant in academic and clubs. My priority has always been to make good grades and learn in school. Since I was little I always been that person who helped others along their way.
Clemson University has always been special because of the opportunities it has given to me and my family. Giving my father and uncle to play on the football team that went on to win a national championship, as well as a college education makes me feel thankful because without a full scholarship, they would not afford college. Being named after the mascot, my connection to the university was apparent at birth. Clemson has given members of my family opportunities and I feel like Clemson can give me opportunities as well. My future plans in life include attending medical or law school to pursue a degree in one of those two fields. The academic programs that Clemson offers will best prepare for my future goals. Having advanced research and degree
Whether it be in Political Science, Law Studies, Sport Management, or perhaps a study I haven’t yet considered. I will contribute to the student population of optimists and go-getters, and refrain from staying idle while life passes by. It is imperative to take action on set goals to avoid being left behind with the masses. As a Gator, there is a self-expectation to have a sharp motivation; to be inclined to apply oneself to any task with a sharp focus. I plan to impact this campus with the drive to change my life and improve those’ around me. If admitted to the University of
I have worked all of my life for a moment like this, the moment to where I can start a great future on my own. UNCW can help me acquire this moment because they have an excellent education program and that is exactly what I am wanting to go into.I had the awesome opportunity in junior year to go and tour UNCG, Eastern Carolina, and UNCW. UNCW just seemed like the best option to me because even though I wasn't even a college student yet, every student or guide that I talked to seemed like they really wanted me there and was trying to make a positive impact on my life. Not to mention that UNCW's campus is beautiful and peaceful.I know that my freshman year is going to be difficult because I will be out on my own and having to provide for myself
I am pleased to submit this essay in support of my application to the University of Florida. I hope to spend many years at the University including receiving my bachelor’s degree and attending law school. The following ideas would supplement the University of Florida environment on an individual basis and as a community.
The college process can be one that is very long and difficult, especially for student-athletes. Choosing the right school is a huge decision that will have a big affect on your future with many factors to consider throughout the process. For me, the three big factors that contributed to my decision to attend Miami were my swim career, my academic goals, and the amazing people and staff that make up Miami University.
