Fluctuation of immigration to Canada in 20th century and what are possible factors?
Firstly, what is immigration?
Origin of the word immigration is from [im-i-grey-shuh n]
Definition of immigration:
Immigration is an action of coming to live permanently in a foreign country.
Immigration to Canada means people come from different countries of the world and decide to live permanently in Canada and then most of the immigrants become permanent citizens of Canada.
Due to immigration to Canada , there are more than 200 distinct cultures in Canada. As Canada is having a large mixture of people from various backgrounds as compared to any other nation on earth so it is also defined as "cultural mosaic”. Furthermore, Canada also do not force immigrants to change their traditions and culture. Thus , because of all these reasons there is a flow of immigrants to Canada.
But now an interesting question arises:
Was immigration always at rise in Canada ?
Or were there fluctuations in immigration to Canada?
If yes then what are the possible factors which created fluctuation in immigration to Canada?
