Henry McCarty, born around 1859 in the Manhattan area of New York, was more commonly known as Billy the Kid or William Bonney. His mother, Catherine, was an immigrant from Ireland who worked odd jobs to support their family. Soon after the death of her husband, Catherine, Henry, and her younger son Joseph moved to Indianapolis, Indiana, where she met her future husband William Antrim. The family accompanied Antrim to Kansas, and then New Mexico after Catherine was diagnosed with tuberculosis and advised to seek a warmer, drier climate. Antrim and Catherine were married soon after the move to New Mexico.

Never being able to see your friends and family seems like something unimaginable but for Morris Kent because of his own actions has to live in a nightmare for the rest of his life. Morris Kent was arrested at the age of 16 for 3 counts of robbery, 3 counts of home robberies and worst of all 2 counts of rape. Because of the severity of the crimes the prosecutor moved to try morris as an adult as the punishment would be more severe, but morris’s lawyer didn’t want to have Morris tried as an adult so he planned to argue that Morris had a “mental illness” so the case would stay in juvenile court but in the end the judges ruled against Morris and for the prosecutor. As a result Kent’s punishment was more severe at a sentence of 30 to 90 years in prison but Morris not agreeing with the decision the judges had made Morris appealed stating that the case should have stayed in juvenile court but as the judges didn’t feel the same way about the case they ruled

When people think of Oklahoma, they usually think about flatlands and waving wheat. The thought of terrorism would never come into mind. This is exactly what the people of Oklahoma City would’ve been thinking if asked about terrorism. Sadly, on the day of April 19, 1995, Oklahoma and the nation was shocked as the unthinkable happened. The rest of the world stood still, and watched as people were rushed from the building. Families received information about their loved ones, and soon learned that they were no longer living. Parents were also sickened by the fact that their children would never be able to go to daycare again. As for the man in charge of this operation, his slow but authorized death was watched by families and friends of the victims. The rest of the nation should’ve been able to view this great punishment along with the families who were affected.

Football is as fun as it sounds, at least that’s what you have always heard, but is it really?. Football is a very enthusiastic game, it’s one of the games that is both fun to play and watch. Football is the most talked about topic in Mckeel, often people are in a debate that should Mckeel have a football team? Or not? Students often support the topic of having a football team in Mckeel. What they forget to pay attention to is that this decision can come at a cost, both for your health and even for your parents' money. Mckeel should not have a football team because it can cause serious injuries, it’s very expensive and it takes a commitment of both your time and effort you put into the game.

I am the shoe of a girl, Mackenzie Packer. I have been apart of her life since she was born September 3rd, 1998 in the small town of Sandpoint ID. Mackenzie and I have lived a very happy life together. After about two years with her she got a sister Sydney and I got a new another shoe buddy. We all got along great. Before the biggest day of our lives, kindergarten, there was a new member of the family Brady and another shoe buddy for me. That year was full of happiness, playing with friend, and going to the park. The next year was very tragic, her dad died in a car crash, her mother got remarried to a guy she only knew for two months, and she got an older sister she knew nothing about. As for the rest of her childhood we both hardly remember due to purposely forgetting it even existed.

Last week was such an amazing experience! I’m so thankful to have had the opportunity to dance with all my wonderful 4th period friends and take part in the Fall Show, “Subsequent”, with the rest of the BHS Dancers (including my wonderful big, Lindsey)! I’m really proud of how the dance department did as a whole. I love dancing at Brookwood High School because it’s so different than the strict ballet setting that I’m used to at my studio. It is also very special to be part of something at my school. As a Sugarloaf Ballet Company Dancer, I’ve not had this experience before. Dance has always been separate from my school. It is so exciting to be able to say that I dance for Ms. Ellen at Brookwood High School.

Anyaa and I dance at the same dance studio. She was diagnosed with Mosaic Turner Syndrome just two years after I had met her. Having to deal with the constant doctors appointments, nightly growth hormone injections and many other things, I knew immediately that I was going to be a mentor to her and be someone who understood what it's like to live with Turner Syndrome. I learned that I could overcome any obstacle and that I am strong enough to conquer anything I put my mind to. Despite the odds, I am a competitive dancer, I do very well in school, and I am the healthiest I have ever

Jena Zarroli and I were stuck in the same Spanish class together my freshman year of high school. I guess you could say we bonded over our mutual hatred for it. But I never would've guessed that we'd later go on to become best friends. School ended and summer began, but Jena and I rarely hung out. Not until a few weeks later anyways, when we had the most outrageously funny sleepover I'd had possibly ever. After that we were practically inseparable, so inseparable to the extent that I even started going to work with her to help out. We usually worked late nights. And boy did we goof off. But things got done none the less. Afterwards, I would sleep over at her house.

We have been friends for longer than I can remember. Her parents actually knew me before they knew her. Jing Lee “Chloe” Wielkiewicz was born in China, and she and her Korean brother, Nate were adopted by two wonderful people. Our parents were best friends, so Chloe and I just grew up together for the first eight or so years of our lives. Although I loved her, she was always opted to be a bit of a troublemaker of more than just plain peccadillos.
