1. Based on Scenario 1, what are the sources of food-borne illness? There are two sources of the food-borne illness, Salmonella, and E. coli both will both cause flu-like symptoms in a brief period of time after consumption of toxins caused by eating potato salad and medium-rare hamburgers. The salmonella is from the eggs and vegetables used in the potato salad and the E. coli is from the undercooked hamburger meat. 2.
