The less mass a ball has the further it’s potential to travel is. The lighter the ball is, the faster and further the ball can move. Additionally, Khan Academy writes, “The second law also tells us that acceleration of the football also depends on the mass of the football. If the player is throwing an extra heavy football, the acceleration of the football would decrease compared to a lighter football that is thrown with the same force.” (“Football Physics”). This quote explains that the lighter a ball is, the farther a ball can be thrown. Also, the farthest a ball can be thrown depends on the amount of force the person throwing applies to the ball. (“Football Physics”). When a ball is lighter due to less air pressure, the quarterback will be able to throw it further. The less mass makes the ball lighter, and this will allow the wind to be able to carry the ball

The first reason is safety gear makes football more safe because of the following.The helmet goes on a player’s head & they are made up of polycarbonate shells. That is safe because the helmets have big pads inside the shell to support the head on contact. The the next reason that safety gear is safe is the shoulder pads. It helps the neck and head because when the player gets hit in the head the neck roll will stop their helmet from bending backwards.

Especially injuries leading to concussions. Researchers are working to prevent concussions and minimize the rate of head injuries created by direct impact lead by injuries from football.

Americans including myself display great intensity and passion for the game of football and the result of the game often changes my attitude for the better or worse. Football teaches unique lessons in a hands on manner which helps athletes like myself sustain a much more adventurous life.
