Why would He proceed, to go ahead with making a bond with Abraham, to which, Abraham was not a part of? It was because, no matter how righteous Abraham was, no matter how dedicated he was, God knew Abraham would not be able to keep up his part of that bond. Because he was sinful, as we are. However, God, because He loves us so much, made the covenant with Abraham in the fashion that He did, because He can never fail us. And, in turn, that bond, His love for us, will never perish. It will always stand. Even when you leave Him, when you forget Him, when you sin, He remains faithful. God’s very presence each and every day shows His care for us.
