The community of Forney is the fastest growing city in Kaufman County, Texas and is also one of the fastest growing communities in the Dallas - Fort Worth Metroplex. The community is gainaing a reptuation in the DFW area for its small-town charm and affordable housing. Aknowledging the community's growing repuatation, recently, Forney was named as one of D Magazines "Best Suburbs." In 1869 the devlopers Asa R. Newton and Harben H. Self purchased a tract of land and platted a town that would later become Forney. The new town was to be named Brooklyn. However, when the town applied to certify the name with the U.S. post office a complicaiton was encountered. The leaders of the town were informed that the name of "Brooklyn, Texas" was unavailable because there was already a post office by that name. The name was changed to honor John W. Forney, the director of the T & P Railway Co.
Today, the trainns still pass through the town was they did in the area's early days. However, the trains no longer stop. Although many of teh town's historic structures still remain, the dynamic of the community has changed. The community of Forney now serves as a suburb of the larger city of Dallas and many of the residents of the small-town community commute to the larger cities in the DFW area. Nevertheless, the town of Forney is as resialant as it was in times past. The town looks forward to its exciting future, all the while emrbacing its hertiage with pride.

For a current population of more than one million, Dallas, Texas, had humble beginnings. Through the determination of one man, the settlement called Dallas became a reality in the Three Forks area of the Trinity River, in the 1840s.

The city was founded by John Neely Bryan, who settled on the east bank of the Trinity near a natural ford in November 1841. As I progressed in English 102, I found out monsters is more than what I though t is. Adorable Delainey Jennel was a cute little peanut any newborn photographer would have loved having in their studio. What a beautiful head of hair she had with a wisp of curl over her ear too! Kamesha and Correy brought Delainey into the studio at seven days old. This December baby was born at 11:37 on the morning of the 10th. She weighed 6 pounds 13 ounces and measured 20 inches.
