Engineering has been an essential part of society since man created the wheel. Even from the days in ancient Egypt when the pharaohs built the pyramids they used their own form of engineering. Engineers were always a very prestigious occupation. It was roman engineers who allowed the city of Rome to be built from the palaces to the aqueducts. After the roman engineers built the aqueducts then engineering evolved to a more renaissance approach including building castles and moats. Kings and queens would use engineers for personal statues of themselves or for improvements on their castles. The foundation of engineering completely changed when Isaac newton invented calculus and put a formula to gravity. A couple hundred years later, many engineers focused on improving machinery in the industrial revolution, along with many improvements in the medical field. Lately some of the more popular feats of engineers include large skyscrapers being built across the world, and one of the best inventions of all which is the computer. Computer scientist and electrical engineers have been at the forefront of our most recent technological advancement and will continue to push our technological boundaries to the limits.

A) Electrical Engineering is “a branch of engineering that
When the pH is not at its optimum, the differing pH's will disrupt the bonding between the R groups of the amino acid causing its structure and the shape of the activation site to change
The purpose of the lab was to determine the ratio of air to acetylene results in complete combustion of acetylene gas. The balanced chemical equation for this experiment was C2H2(g) + O2(g) --> CO2(g)+ H2O(l). Complete combustion is the reaction of an element or compound with oxygen to produce the most common oxides and energy. Complete combustion occurs when the fuel and oxygen combine in exact proportions to completely burn the fuel, which leaves a clean test tube. Incomplete combustion is the reaction of an element or compound with oxygen to produce some oxides with less oxygen than the most common oxides. Incomplete combustion occurs when there is not enough oxygen to react
Procedure: Using distilled water, premeasured containers and objects determine displacement of fluids and density of objects. Use ice and heat measure temperatures in Celsius, Fahrenheit and Kelvin.
Historically great feats of engineering have been the tell-tale sign of a great civilization. The Great Wall Of China, The Roman Aqueducts, and buildings that reach for the skies. Today Aerospace engineers propel us out of our world and to new and even higher heights. The evolution of engineers comes from a cornerstone of their method, The Engineering Method. They research, prototype and improve their design until they find a solution that fits. Engineers are constantly improving their work so that they can push the boundaries of what we believe is possible. Engineers communicate their progress in science and engineering through their amazing feats and groundbreaking

groups. It was conducted to further the research in choice overload and paralysis of the mind.
8. The people who make up this article is the students from 7 different universities. It was rather representative because they were from universities that were located across the US, not just from one specific area. This was a unsystematic selection procedure because they weren’t from specific groups or students, just casual students from the seven different universities which created a representative sample of a big population.
The purpose of this lab was for the student to get involved with his or hers new lab kit as well as being able to know, identify and use each other tools provided in the kit. Another key learning aspect of this lab is to teach the student how to measure properly the many units in the SI system. I will be using laboratory dilutions, measurements, and weights to then calculate using algebraic formula.
Objectives: To study projectile motion by investigating the flight of a kicked football and determining from what distance you can make a field goal. Procedure: Place the football on a kicking holder on one of the yard lines. Kick the football, aiming for the base, in hopes to the the optimum angle(42°). Using 2 timers, time how long it takes for the football to travel through the air until it hits the ground.

Being able to take in the information that is presented and being able to apply it is a crucial tool that is needed in order to be successful. One of the assignments that we were given in ENGR 1000 was that we were tasked to see what type of learner we were. Everyone has their own unique way of learning and I myself feel that I am more of a visual learner than verbal. There are eight different characteristics on a scale from one to ten which means there can be fifty thousand and four hundred different possibilities. This is why it is important to know and understand what type of learner you are because you are only one of that fifty thousand and four hundred. You could and are very likely spinning your wheels trying to learn things the wrong way if you truly don’t understand how you learn. I can read a book cover to cover and at the end, sometimes I could not tell you what I have just read. After taking that survey I was surprised at how much I was heavily leaning only on visual and not verbal. Just this one alone was putting me at a disadvantage in my education because I was only really taking in half of what I could be. I have started to rely different learning styles so that I can be more we
About eighty years ago, engineers were able to build a bridge on time and within budget with no problem; today, most of the projects take extra time and money to finish. What exactly happened between now and eighty years ago that caused such a drastic shift? It is clearly not the engineers nor the technology; in fact, those have only improved over time. Today, engineers are faced with much more than designing and building the infrastructure, as they were before. They compete with politicians for funds, fight for the safety of workers, and protect our environment by adhering to the numerous laws and acts set forth by the government. In the future, we can only expect more costs, longer time periods for projects, and an increase in costs and
It is almost impossible, today, to look around you and not see the products of engineering, pretty much regardless of where one may be. In this way, advancements in engineering and its various branches have clearly allowed humanity to develop in immeasurable ways or this would not be the case (Frank C. Whitmore, 1979). However, those who do not have much knowledge of the background processes behind this infrastructure may not realise its impact as deeply or may not realise the impact of engineering at all - despite modern society’s fundamental dependence upon it (National Academy of Engineering, 2001).
As seen in the Fig. 2, there is a dramatic increase in the hardness (31.66 to 65HRB) of the material over a
Engineering is a wide field of study that divides into all the different categories like electrical, mechanical, chemical, petroleum, and the best for the last computer engineering. what does engineering mean you may ask? Scott Cahall defines Engineering as "[T]he art of applying science, mathematics, and creativity to solve technological problems."We can see how technology is so important to us these days it is even awkward if you are in the elevator and your phone runs out of charge. This is what Alex Tasic said about the power of technology "The capability of a computer gives us so much freedom and power to become as smart as we want and makes communication a lot easier." Technology is one of the important factors of our lifestyle nowadays and to continue developing this technology we need to understand the hard work of the engineering field.
