Influential leaders have risen to power from a variety of beginnings. Many, like Franklin Delano Roosevelt, start from humble beginnings, and they rise to power to serve the people in their darkest hours. Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s odyssey to power started when he was born on January 30, 1882, in Hyde Park, New York, to two upper middle class parents. Five years later little Franklin got his first peek at the white house when his family got invited there by Grover Cleveland, whose was then the 22nd president of the United States of America. Before graduating Harvard in 1904, Franklin married Ana Eleanor Roosevelt, a distant cousin. Throughout university Franklin became obsessed with politics and after he graduated he decided to run for

I believe that Theodore Roosevelt has had a significant impact on American society for multiple reasons. First, he saved the sport of football from being outlawed in the U.S. Second, he started the largest environmental conservation program which set aside thousands of acres of land that have now become hundreds of national parks including the Grand Canyon. Finally, he defended America during the Spanish American War.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt was a well-educated, controversial leader that made a lasting impression on the United States of America. He was extremely effective in office due to several strong attributes he possessed. Roosevelt was the only president to serve more than two consecutive terms in office, and he even captured a fourth term before he died. The continuous reelections would prove that Franklin Roosevelt was a man of the people for the people. Franklin Roosevelt’s leadership skills guided the United States through two major events in the country’s history. He guided the country through the Great Depression in the 1930s and the majority of World War II. Franklin Roosevelt would have a major impact on the United States economy and people. Roosevelt would create plans and programs to get the country and its people back on track during hard times. The United States would become a global super power after World War II. The leadership skills that Roosevelt utilized allowed him to become one to the greatest presidents in history. Even through Roosevelt was one of the greatest Presidents, he still had his critics that questioned the outcomes of his plans when looking at the future of the United States.

Franklin D. Roosevelt is important to the U.S. history because he helped the U.S. get out of great danger and he also made deals called “The New Deal.” The United States of America was really happy to have someone like Franklin D. Roosevelt in the White House. He led the U.S. during the Great Depression and World War II. FDR became the 32nd president in the United States of America and was the only president to be elected four times. Franklin D. Roosevelt expanded the powers of the federal government, through programs and “The New Deal.”

When people think of the Roosevelt family one thing to mind that everyone seem to think of is privileged. Another thing is one of the sons that came from that family named Franklin Delano Roosevelt famously known as FDR. Franklin life started in the Dutch area in New York City. He was born in 1882 to the parents of James and Sarah Roosevelt Because Franklin came from such a privileged background his life has always had excitement and was very much filled with governments a politics. Something that set him up for his life as a successful and memorable president. He made a mark on history.

This was brought about when the government of Venezuela stopped paying their debts to European bankers. Hoover preferred “rugged individualism,” and FDR preferred “helping hand” philosophies. Hoover believed in assisting business in hope that this support would create a trickle down impact which would lead to investment and more jobs. FDR, on the other hand, wanted to provide people with jobs to increase confidence and correcting failures in certain economic institutions, leading to a bubble up scenario. It is ironic that Hoover knew how it felt to suffer in poverty as a child, yet FDR better handled the job of reassuring citizens that he was the man to get the nation out of its slump.

In the time FDR was president there were many crises that threaten countries and people globally. While that was happening people became worried and were afraid to go into war to stop this problem. He created a radio talk show that always opened with my friends, and they believed him. He used the radio to communicate to the nation and to guarantee their safety. President Roosevelt went into office when the nation was in the middle of the "Great Depression". Roosevelt was very brave to be president when a lot people had no jobs and no money and those who didn’t use it in the right way. Churchill had to unite a government that was at war with themselves throughout World War 2 Prime Minister Churchill created a new government the government that didn’t fight with themselves fight with themselves, a government that would win the war.

His father Theodore was a glass importer and philanthropist, his mom Martha was a house wife and later, his teacher. The Roosevelt family also included his 2 sisters, Anna and Corinne, and his brother Elliott. The family was torn during the early years of Roosevelts life. His mother was a Southern and they lived in the north. She would send down care packages for her family in the south as her son was dreaming about fighting on the front lines for the North.

President Theodore Roosevelt was the 26th President of the United States of America. Roosevelt was an adaptive compliant President. He expressed great work ethic and leadership during his time in the White House. In fact while he was in office Roosevelt viewed the President as the “steward of the people” and kept that mindset all throughout his presidency. President Roosevelt in history is one of the youngest Presidents to assume the position of office. The start of Roosevelt’s Presidency started with the assassination of President William McKinley. President McKinley was shot by a man named Leon Czolgosz. Maybe if McKinley wouldn’t have died from these wounds Roosevelt may never have become one of the best presidents in U.S. history.

Theodore Roosevelt was one of the most iron willed presidents in the history of the United States. He took head on the battles of business social change and many different issues of government that many presidents had not paid attention to at this time. E extended the powers of the President and the powers of the federal government to protect the public interest and what he believed in. he took full advantage of his responsibilities of the work and expanded the involiment of the United States in world affairs. His social and economic reforms were the first attempts t deal with the problems created y a modern industrial society.

Franklin D. Roosevelt was a leader, a supporter and role model. FDR as many would call him was elected for four executive terms. He led the American people through a crisis that no other could have done better than him.
