Freak The Mighty Character Analysis

In chapter five, Gwen invited Max for dinner, but if she had not, I don’t think Freak and Max would have become good friends. Before they were close friends, Freak came over to Max’s house, but when his mother saw Max, she grabbed Freak and ran home, as Max looked like his father who was a criminal. Freak lies to himself, as well as Max, to help them cope mentally. Although his death is inevitable, Freak refuses to accept it, keeping his false hopes alive. The character of Max Kane could be described as bigger than most men, and he resembles his father. If we were to judge him by his appearance we could say he is scary or intimidating, or maybe even say he’s a bully.
