There are numerous cases of slaves trying to escape, run away or flee from their slave masters. A lot of slaves have planned but tend to fail because of a traitor. This has been the situation of slaves where they are trying to escape from their bondage. Frederick Douglass and Nat Turners are one of the slaves who stands up attaining their freedom and never let this situation pull them down. Frederick Douglass and Nat Turners are both born as a slave in the Southern state of America. Douglass grew up without his parents whereas Turner have his parents with him who encourages him that he is different and he could do something great for slavery. With the situation of Douglass and Turn did not stop them wanting for their own freedom one day; therefore, each pursue their beliefs and education to help them achieve their freedom. They use their knowledge and enhancing their advantages. Frederick Douglass and Nat Turner’s approaches freedom in their own different ways. Frederick Douglass focuses more in enhancing his education to understand more about the slavery and use this to gain his freedom whereas Nat Turner focuses more on religion where he uses these signs and visions from God that leads to a rebellion to accomplish his and other slave’s freedom.
