What is worship? What are the necessary elements? In the “free church” tradition of which I am a part, I have found that these are not simple questions to answer and it is easy to envy those who have more formalized ideas about liturgy and worship. However, I believe that it is imperative for those of us in the “free church” to enter the discussion, recognize our own liturgical traditions, and engage in a process of thoughtfully reviewing our customs and perhaps recovering some practices that we have abandoned along the way. In this paper, I will offer definition and clarification of basic ideas and terms that are necessary for such a discussion. I will then highlight four elements that I believe are mostly overlooked in evangelical “free church”

“The Lord of the Flies” by William Golding, is a novel in which the theme of savagery versus civilization is explored. Several British boys are stranded on an isolated island at the time of an imaginary nuclear war. On the island, we see conflict between two main characters, Jack and Ralph, who respectively represent civilization and savagery. This has quite the effect on the rest of the boys throughout the novel as they delve further and further into savagery.
Weapons, such as guns or knives, are not innately evil, but rather serve whatever purpose a person chooses for one. This remains true for more than just physical tools. Ideals and beliefs have been used throughout the ages to justify actions, good and bad alike. For example, Christianity was used commonly during the crusades as a justification to slaughter thousands of people for the purpose of reclaiming the ‘holy land.’ Though this one belief has been used broadly for negative actions such as that extreme example or even something is frivolous as the picketing of funerals by Westboro Baptist Church, it has also been used to better the world. The church I belonged to, Pine Grove Free Methodist Church, made its best efforts to assist its surrounding community by volunteering at the local homeless shelter and running charity events for starving children in Africa. Furthermore, interpretation and practice truly differentiates the diverse groups within Christianity from their stereotypes. However, to better understand Christianity and Free Methodist denomination I belonged to, one must understand their foundations and common practices within.

A Madman’s Confession “The Cask Of Amontillado” is a short story by Edgar Allan Poe of revenge taken in the most horrid manner. Poe begins his tale with a narration by the main character, Montresor, vowing revenge of the “thousand injuries” and unforgiveable insult that his friend Fortunato has committed against him (Poe 467). Poe uses the literary elements of setting, point of view, and characters to guide the reader thorough the dark and tragic theme of "The Cask Of Amontillado". The setting that Poe creates in "The Cask Of Amontillado" is ideal for Montresor to extract his calculated plan of revenge without risk of exposure or interference.

I saw, even though you tried to cover my eyes. I heard, even though you tried to block my ears. I felt, even though you pretended there wasn't a reason to. How could I possibly understand what I was seeing and feeling at such a young age? Who was there for me to talk to about it? No one..I had to comprehend so much. I sat behind the door with my back against it, when the screaming began again I closed my eyes this time. I pictured myself in a meadow with the grass being pure green and the sky being pure blue. The sun shined so brightly on my skin and the feeling of warmth comforted me. I could see a man walking up to me, but he was so bright you couldn't see his face. My throat was in a knot and my heart was heavy, but as
