The sun had just turned but I knew I needed to keep on running and finish my jog. As the trees formed around me, I saw something flash into the woods, I swear it was a person. Nevertheless I kept on going at a faster pace, this place could be scary at night! Halfway down the track, the sun had just disappeared when I heard a scream. I ran even faster knowing there was something bad going on. Just before my eyes fell a body with a cut in the throat. I also screamed myself, then sprinted out of the woods up the road and straight to the police office. It was closing time and the door was locked so I banged on it furiously with my fists. Thinking back now that was probably not a smart thing to do, but I had just seen a dead body. An old lady opened …show more content…
I kept quiet and tried to listen to what they were saying. One guy asked the other “Did it work?” the other guy nodded and chuckled “We scared the absolute shit out of her”. They went inside, cut off the heads and hung the bodies. “Hey James” Tom yelled “look here, our book has been moved.” I had placed the book carefully back, but just not well enough. Lucky for me I had used gloves so my fingerprints were not on anything because the first thing they did was check for a fingerprint. Meanwhile, I crept as silently as I could the opposite direction from town, then made a huge loop back to town. As I lay on my couch that night I realised I had to be so much more careful that I didn’t get caught. I made a mask that I could use and then sat down to figure out what was going on. I looked at all my clues and figured out that they must have something against all of those people who get killed and …show more content…
Her name was Mary and she went to school with me. I asked her If she would like to go for a run through the woods that afternoon. She jumped at the idea, always being the fitness freak. Later that day I changed into my running gear, then met Mary at the gates into the woods. We ran though the woods and just before where I saw the body, I told her I was tired and turned back to go home, then once she was out of sight I put on my mask and went to the side of the trail and followed her. Sure enough, there was a scream and I saw one of the men with a dead body and a knife. I was sure it was the Tom dude. I held my pistol tight, it was my most useful weapon I had and was only to be used when needed. I was given the pistol by Tim to help me, but it was not to be seen by anyone. Tom crept towards Mary but before he could throw the dead body I grabbed him from behind and covered his mouth with a cloth, I called Mary to help me. She had a look of shock on her face, but then realised what was happening. Quickly she scurried to help me. Tom tried and tried to break free, but luckily being two fitness freaks we were able to drag him out of the woods and to the police station. Mary carried the dead body and helped me hold Tom still. We reached the door to the police station, I rang the door bell this time. The officer opened the door and we went inside. I
After a day of planning it was night time. We got into the detective's car and drove around the outer parts of the city, since that's where all gothic churches were. It was dark and cold but definitely not stormy. Soon some fog rolled in it felt like we had been driving in circles. I could see how everyone thought the detective was mad he had what felt like split personalities. Of course I couldn’t question that now he was going to save my life but something was off. By the time I was done wondering we found the church. Careful not to make a sound we passed 2 guards on the outside. The church was on the verge of collapsing but yet it still stood, tall and old. As we entered it felt dark and grim like that feeling that something was wrong, like when you wake up from a nightmare and are paranoid from every little detail. Every time I turned a corner it felt like something was going to hop out at me. The wood boards creaked and the wind howeld. Hay haven't we passed this banner before, yah and that was the one we saw earlier too just around the corner. I was going insane, around every corner it was the same thing as the last.
Charlie scoffed the first time she found a note tucked into the outer pocket of her pack reminding her to take the North pass instead of the South on the way back into town. Rolling her eyes, she balled it up in her hand, tossing it into her pack.
Journey opens in a monochromatic world where a lonely girl sits on the steps of her house as her family is too busy for her. Finding a piece of bright red chalk, she draws a door on the wall and opening it, steps into a brightly lit and colored forest. Using her chalk to draw a small boat on the river, the girl climbs in and sails away until reaching a castle like city. Quickly sketching a hot air balloon as she careens over a waterfall, the young girl floats above the clouds of the city observing her surroundings. Spotting a purple bird locked in a cage, she attempts a rescue mission and frees the bird only to have her chalk tossed away by one guard and locked up by the other. Sitting in her prison, the girl is overjoyed as the bird she freed
“911, what is your emergency?” I answered the call. The voice on the other end was high pitched and frantic. Her words slurred together. I could barely understand what she was saying. All I managed to make out was a deep voice in the background. “This sounds familiar” I told my coworker, Mark. We both knew right away that it was the voice of the infamous murderer that the town called, The Beast of Livington. Suddenly, the screaming stopped. I feared I had lost the call. I heard someone pick up the phone, “She is just another body that you won’t find,” the voice was sharp and chilling. I knew that I needed to do something immediately. Contacting the FBI, I told them that I had just received a call from The Beast, and he was planning his murder as we spoke. The FBI officers told me to stay on the phone for as long as possible, so that they could track the call. I was trying to keep the girl calm but I could barely keep my hand from trembling as I tried to contact the officers. Finally, I got a hold of the police because I found the location of The Beast.. I hesitated telling the police the location, however, because I was so horrified by the screaming on the other
She heard the dress rip but she did not mind because the intensity of this
Spider threads caught at my face, a sign that no-one had been there yet. I paced along the old wooden floorboards, each step causing a creaking echo, that ricocheted off the concealed walls of the lonesome attic. Anticipation arose from within me as I glimpsed at what appeared secluded door behind cardboard boxes; stacked ceiling high whose surfaces were of dust. Long strides were taken to advance across the room. Time was running up. I knew he was bound to have arrived already. A ray of light projected across the room onto the rusty doorknob. My grimy hands tightly clutched onto the cold knob, and hesitated. Anticipation was my favorite sensation when arousing in adventure; I wanted to make the moment last a lifetime. In apprehension, I stepped
We talked for hours and hours about boys, football games, and everything going on in our lives. It started to get dark very quickly. The sunset was turning into a dark, green-blue blanket across the sky and our night became even more exciting. We explored some docks, boats, and pavilions that we had never seen before. At about 9:30, we decided to go down the trail into the woods to explore more. Allison and I were walking first, while Savannah and Jordan lurked far behind us. Suddenly, we heard an eerie, random noise coming from the foliage and we ran as fast as we could back to the parking lot. At this point, we were more than ready to leave.
The crisp air on the fall morning sprung everyone out of bed. The mounts of dew on the freshly cut grass made it hard not to hear the squelch of the mud when someone walked through it. When I was walking to the bus stop to get to school, I noticed a tall, big , and muscular man’s shadow walking directly behind me and watching my every move. I got very suspicious so I decided to pick up my paste. When I realized he picked up his paste to I knew he was after me, I turned down this long and dark alley and disguised behind the bushes. The only thing I could think of doing was to call my mom, I told that I was in danger so she told me “ remain quiet so he won’t hear you” I said ok and mumbled what he looked like so she could tell the police. As soon as I hung up I saw him pacing back in
One cold evening, passing by the graveyard it felt like something was watching me. Regretting every step I took as I heard my boots clink against the cold, rubbled cement. A shrill echoed throughout the mist and my hair immediately stood on end and a shiver raced down my spine as a lump came to my throat. The gravestones stood still, row upon row like soldiers lining up to march, then another ear-splitting shrill pronounced the air as I cupped my ears. It stopped. I began bustling home quicker and quicker as the palms of my hands began to profusely sweat and get colder. I turned to my right and there was a house which didn't seem to have anybody living in it. The house was caked in grime and some windows weren't quite right. They were off center and even some were boarded up, only leaving the slimmest of crawlers to struggle to get through. The overgrown branches covered the doorway leading in as if it was warning me to stay away. Some say the house hadn’t been lived in for seven years and as people walk by they can hear noises from inside. I stopped and stared. I noticed a woman and man standing in the window, staring at every move I made. She looked about her mid 80s with tubes running around her ears and into her nose. I slowly walked, then sprinted as if I stole something. I then finally got home and my father, Liam, was sitting in the recliner with his broken down rugged cane. I slung my backpack around my back, threw it off, and ran up to him and gave him a big hug. He
About noon on Friday, I was just reading a book, when I got a bad feeling. I knew that a murder was about to happen, and I had to act fast. It seems like I would be used to this by now, but I’ve only done this 20 times in 13 years. Every time, I have a mini panic attack. I ran to my laptop and searched for any amber alerts within the past week, any clues I could get. I found nothing. I was frantically searching for anything I could find, any police records that might give me clues. But none. So, I ran outside and listened for any strange sounds, or strangers in the neighborhood. Nope. I ran to the nearest alleyway,
The wind howled outside warning us of the bitter cold that waited for us outside. The sky was starting to turn dark and the outside world became scarier compared to the warmth of the fireplace before me, it was crackling and spitting out little pieces of burnt wood but they couldn’t make it past the glass panel. Within minutes everyone was piled in the room talking and chatting about how scary it was going to be tonight. As a group of stupid high school kids we decided to go out to haunted road that lays right outside the village we all call home. We decided to meet at my house, mainly because my parents are never home and I live the closest. After 10 minutes of chatting we all piled into vehicles and headed for the abandoned road. There is a story that goes along with this road. Back in the 1890’s there was an old farmer that lived at the end of the road with his wife and 3 children, he was a scary old man people say, someone you wouldn’t dare to speak back too. One halloween night a couple of teenagers decided to play a prank on the old farmer and his family but it ended horribly. The farmer thought that the kids were trying to endanger his family and ended up killing one of the youngest people in the group. It was said that after that night he changed into a completely different person, he was cold and scarier than before. He went into the little village tavern and drank every night, the people told him that he was just protecting his family but he continued to drown
As i’m looking at this body lying in the road I wonder to myself who this guy might be and what happened to him. I’m going to get to the bottom of this case. I take a look at the contents of stuff in his pocket and see if I can figure anything at by just looking at his things. I decide to head into town that is nearby and see if he is from there. While the drive to town was quiet the town was as any other town would be, noisy and busy. I stop at the nearest bar that I can find. I go inside and see if I can find anything out about our dead man. The bartender who I speak to tells me her name is sara, I show her the picture of the man. She says that's Rick Prattz, he comes in every tuesday and plays pool with a few other guys that come here every tuesday. I now know what those quarters in his pocket were from. She also mentioned that he was a very well known guy in this town, everyone seemed to like him. I ask if she might know his address and she writes it down, and i leave. I drive around the town until i come up on his house. I start to walk up the driveway and stop and thinks to myself about how i'm going to get inside. Then it hits me, I have the key that was in his pocket. I keep walking and when I get to the front door I try the key on the door and to my liking it worked. I walked in and started looking around for any clues why he might have been found in the road dead. There are tons of pictures of him and the same girl found in the picture he had in his pocket. I
The morning started as it normally does, I woke up, ate breakfast, and walked to school. When I arrived everything was different, I looked around and saw police cars messly parked and swat trucks with the swat team marching out. There were people being thrown into the was back of a truck that had “all hail boxing day” spray painted on the side of the vehicle. I saw some members of the swat team marching towards me, I ran, ran as fast as a cheetah chasing its next meal. I didn 't get far because I wasn 't in very good shape so I couldn 't run. I ended up hiding in an alleyway under a dumpster so I could catch my breath. I stayed there for a little while until the cop cars and swat team were so far away i could no longer hear their sirens. I
I had woken up a few minutes later and searched for someone to talk to. There was no one. Running around at this point, I found an elevator that took me to the sub-basement. There I heard someone yell something like, Hey look out. I turned around, but nothing. A few minutes I walked by a room where there was a dead man on the floor, someone in a partially opened elevator, and a bloody prisoner looking guy. “Camera man!” The bloody prisoner growled as he began walking my way. I turned and ran down the hall. As I did I heard this loud screech coming from the room where the man had killed that scientist. I would have worried about it, but a crazy murderer was probably chasing me. I looked for somewhere to hide, but I didn't find anything besides a locker. It’ll work! I climbed into the locker and closed the door behind me.
With the bag of books in my hand I headed back out into the cold. I parked kinda far since I don 't like parking on the curb like other people. I threw up my hood and shoved my hands in my pockets and rushed to my car. I was stopped when I saw these three men surrounding this short yellow monster in a white coat. She was against the wall with a look of terror on her face. One of the men was directly in her face yelling at her. I glanced at the man to the left of him and he had a knife in his hand. I dropped my bag and ran over to the bunch. I had grabbed the man in the monsters face by the back of his hood and puled him backwards to where he fell onto the ground. I quickly dashed over to the terrified monster and stood in front of her, cupping my arms around her but still facing the men. "You fuckers better get the hell out of here and leave this monster alone" I screamed. The man with the knife dashed at me and tried to grab me. I dodged pulling the monster with me. I was jerked back by one of the
