When rainbow trout breed the female digs a deep red which is a nest by laying on her side and flapping her tail to loosen up gravel, then she releases eggs which mix with the male’s milt (sperm) and both go into the red. Then the female fills the nest in. After the alevins (larvae) hatch they stay in the nest and absorb the sac that they were in, they now look like tadpoles but in two months they become fry which are young fish and leave the nest to feed. Rainbow trout breed around the age of two. Females can produce a maximum of 2000 eggs for every kilogram of body

The time I got a 23 in 5 1/2 lb Largemouth Bass in Florida was awesome. When the Bass first struck my frog lure it jumped into the air and splashed down into the water. It fought very hard and tangled the line around the lily pad stems. All I could hear was my line being pulled out by the fish. I yelled at all my family to get outside. When they got out I was struggling to to get the fish out of the weeds. I eventually worked it out of the weeds and into clear water. My grandma was yelling because of how big it was. My dad got in the water and lifted it out. We filled a tote with water and put it in. It barely fit! I named it “Tank” because of how hard it hit my lure. We kept it in the tote until we found someone that could make a replica

Fishing has always been a way to collect food, but did you know how it became a competitive sport? It all started with a game of basketball. I am sure you are thinking to yourself; a game of basketball is how fishing tournaments came about?
“The initial Classic for the world championship was held on Nevada's Lake Mead, and the purse was all of $10,000 (“Bass Fishing, Then and Now”). This is important because the bass fishing industry has changed a great deal since the first bass classic. In the Bassmaster Classic in 2016, the winner was awarded $300,000, while the second and third place were awarded about $40,00(“Bass Fishing, Then and Now”). There is a drastic difference from when the grand prize was only $10,000. In order to fully understand how bass fishing has changed over the years, fishermen need to analyze gear and equipment, recognize how pollution and climate change has played a role in the fishing industry, and grasp how overfishing has depleted our nation's waterways. They need to do all of this so that bass fishing can become what it should be.
Many people find hobbies that they enjoy; some people find hobbies that they love and make them lose track of time. What I have come to realize is that when you truly have a passion for something, whether it be good or bad, you tend to put it ahead of other things in life. You become so skilled in this one area because it is something you truly enjoy doing. But you can take what you have learned from this and apply it to the real world. What drives me is bass fishing, to the average person this just sounds like a lazy man's weekend activity. When I was young there wasn't much to it just put bait on a hook and wait but the possibility of potentially catching a giant has kept me hooked. As I have grown older I've learned how complicated what seems to be simple task

I have been fishing my whole life, especially bass fish. I normally try to catch largemouth bass, which are very common where I am from. I was on my high school’s bass fishing team and we actually did pretty well for the most part, especially coming from such a small school. Largemouth bass are our prime target during these fishing tournaments. A largemouth bass is a white/green fish usually ranging from 1 pound to 6, they can also get up to 10 pounds as well. You can bass fish for fun or you can do it competitively such as tournaments. Tournaments usually go like every other tournament, you have two people and an adult captain that basically drives the boat and puts people in the best spots to catch bass. Every tournament usually starts at around 7 in the morning and goes through to 3 in the afternoon. After the time limit is reached, the boats then unload and get pulled up in the parking lot with the fish in them. The teams, then one by one go up to the weigh station and get a bag to put the
Some ways that plastic enters the marine environment can be through improper waste management, intentional or accidental dumping and littering near shorelines or at sea, or it could even be through stormwater runoff carrying them to sea. “Plastics are used in many aspects of daily life and are a big part of our waste stream. Many plastics are colorful and will float in water, which makes plastic debris a very visible part of the marine debris problem.”(OR&R's Marine Debris)”. Plastic is used by humans everyday because it is in mostly everything. From phones to water bottles to your toothbrush. Plastic comes in many colors and can easily seen floating on the water's surface. That means that it is even easier for fish to see and be mistaken for food.
Some people consider bass fishing a sport, but for most fishermen it’s a lifestyle. People have been bass fishing since the beginning of time for different reasons. People will less wealth just fish from the bank, but for the luckier individuals that are able to own a boat, fishing is easier, and more fun. Since the beginning of time people have been using real worms for bait, but now with the advancement of technology you can use baits that have a
