Many would argue that the fundamental causes of World War 1 are, Militarism, Nationalism, Imperialism, and the System of Alliances. Over the years, historians have been trying to point out which cause is most important, however, a conclusion has yet to be made. The System of Alliances amid several nations is arguably the most significant contributor to the commencement of the first World War. An alliance is an agreement between two of more nations that usually contains a promise of support during war. Preceding the war, several nations formed alliances with each other which got them a supply of materials, more military mobilization, and a sense of security. These alliances were signed in secrecy, so there was already a lot of tension
