Guy Montag (Fahrenheit 451) and Malala Yousafzai (I am Malala) are very similar people. Guy Montag would be able to cope in Malala’s situation because of this. Both characters are oppressed in their respective societies, have a passion for learning, and fight for what they believe is right.

Two female, different goals, both change the world for female, Amelia Earhart and Malala Yousafzai are two females who both have contributed to our history. They both changed the world for the female history. Amelia is a pilot with a goal of flight, on the other hand Malala is a child activist for female education. They may be different, but they both changed the world for the greater of life.

Malala is known for being humble in most of her speeches and multiple television appearances. When Malala received the Noble Prize and many awards this is a phrase she repeated the most " how dare the Taliban take away my right to an education"( GIdda 3). This phrase she has repeated various times has put an imprint and opened the eyes of many that this is not just another issue is the kids of the futures education. Just because she has become more "important" from her accident and activism she tries to stay normal around people. Once Malala was fully recovered after her accident she tells about how she tries to not act more "important" but wants to still be normal. She states in an interview " I try not to be so serious with my friends or act differently before my accident, I want to still be normal'( GIdda 3). A lot of people can get caught up in the fame but Malala stayed humble and lived how she is and not through how the media perceived her as. To this day, she is making a difference in the world for women’s rights and girls education. In many ways Malala shows the characteristics of a women with Christian serivce, through her activism. Malala Yousafzai has started to change the world in many ways. Through her women’s rights movements to her standing up for women’s education, she is changing the way the world’s view women.

Malala Yousafzai believes that education is a basic right for every person. Malala, born July twelfth, nineteen ninety-seven is an activist for girls education. She was shot at just fifteen years old as a result of her life as an activist. Malala was nominated for the twenty-thirteen Nobel Peace Prize, but she did not win it. Many people have mixed feelings about the outcome of her nomination for the prestigious award. Malala believes that education is the basic right of boys and girls, men and women everywhere. The controversy which surrounds her life is a direct result of these beliefs, and is the reason she was shot.

Malala was only 10 and as she already understood the major issue of her home country, Pakistan, as regards to their position on women’s rights. She realized in Pakistan women did not have as many rights as men such as the right of education. From that moment, she knew that she would fight for peace and democracy for the Pakistan women in her future.

Who is Malala? She is a worldwide figure who is famous for her dangerous stand she took for girl’s right to education. She is in England, far away from her house in Pakistan. She won the Nobel Peace Prize and she is a symbol for girl’s right to education. But what was she before all of these happenings. Who was she? What happened? What was her past? One of Malala’s famous quotes is,“We realize the importance of our voices only when we are silenced.” Why did she write this quote? Was it derived from her experience? Yes. The reason Malala’s voice was silenced was because of the Taliban and Fazlullah.

One major connection that could be made between Malala and my own experiences was public speaking. Malala took similar footsteps as her father when she wanted to find a way to impress him after stealing and lying to her family. “Notices had gone up at school for a public speaking competition /.../ I remembered the story of my father surprising my grandfather and longed to do the same. When we got the topic, I couldn’t believe my eyes. It was ‘Honesty is the best policy’” (Yousafzai 108).
