Gath Brooks Troyal Garth Brooks (also know as Garth Brooks) is the world’s greatest country singer of all time. He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on February 7, 1962. He was raised in the small town of Yukon with country music in his blood. He was the youngest child in his family that consisted of six children. His Mother, Colleen Carroll, was a Professional country singer while she raised Garth and his five other siblings with her husband, Troyal Carroll. Troyal worked as a engineer for Unocal, an oil company located outside of Oklahoma. (Book, garth brooks) He played guitar and taught Garth how to play. He set out again to go to Nashville determining to stay. He sang a lot and worked in a boot shop until he was signed with Capitol Records in 1988. He sees himself as a normal person and thinks everyone is the same. He tells Waddell, “Our promoters don’t have any front row seats to give out. We’ve never done an endorsement because of one phrase in every contract; we need 20 of your best tickets every night. When you’ve got 20 people that would be somewhere else if they didn’t have a free ticket, which sucks. We want everyone to be there because they want to be there. We’ve turned down $10-$20 million because of these.” Today Garth is the world best musician. He was sold more records then anyone else. He has sold 123 million albums in 2007, the recording industry named him the best selling solo artist of all time in any genre. He retired in 2007 and was divorced and remarried to Trisha Yearwood, who is a country artist
