In the dynamic world today, more and more people want to travel to discover fabulous natural scenery and different culture in other areas. However, getting experiences form tasting food is now becoming a new incentive, and this incentive gave birth to a new kind of tourism-gastronomic tourism or culinaty tourism. Indeed, Hanoi is introduced as 10 greatest street food by CNN (Goldberg, 2012). The gastronomic tourists find street food tasteful and available. Moreover, its price is quite affordable, not to say very cheap for the international visitors. When experiencing a culinary tour, the tourists do not just enjoy delicious and new dishes; they want to discover culture of the destination also. Hence, street food is a good way to satisfy that. The friendly sellers tell to tourists stories about tradition of the nation or their daily life which provide traveler with knowledge of local culture and lifestyle.
On one hand, Vietnamese gastronomy is not just about Vietnamese food; the gastronomes can try Chinese, Thailand, French food and many other dishes from different countries in the world right here in the Vietnamese restaurants. It is really a paradise of food bringing tourists to Vietnam. On the other hand, many Vietnamese restaurants located abroad contribute to present the image of Vietnamese gastronomy to the world. Misses Wendy Chan, an expert from Definity Marketing assumes that Vietnamese food is the most fashionable choice for the Americans.
