All around the world today there is a growing message of positivity and acceptance happening between people of all shapes and sizes. Plus sized models and celebrities have risen from the ground as well as minorities rising up in positions never seen before. Diversity is so greatly praised and welcomed and I personally find it sickening. I want everyone to be, dress, and act the exact same. The world would be such an easier place if everyone was the exact same person. Shopping would be so much easier. If everyone wore matching outfits, boys, girls, women, and children, then shopping would be a much easier task because consumers would know their options and what they want and be done in practically no time at all. I want a world where all body insecurities are eliminated, because everyone would fit into the same size making all need for sizing obsolete. Everyone would also have the same hair style and hygiene routine causing those few specific businesses to grow tremendously allowing for a booming economy. …show more content…
There is nothing to judge people on if every person was the same color or gender. Even better, there would be no difference in sexuality so all of the controversial issues over same-sex marriage and transgender rights would be unnecessary as it would no longer be an issue. Violence and hate crimes would disappear overnight leaving our society a much more peaceful place. There would be no hate towards anyone or discrimination. Everyone would make the same amount of money for the job that they do because there would be nothing silly like gender to set apart the wage gap. I want a society where all citizens have the same education and experiences to even out the playing field. No one is special or
A world where everybody is allowed to speak out against what is wrong and what should be
Wouldn’t it be nice to have it all? Wouldn’t it be nice to live in a society where everyone has an equal opportunity to succeed in life? No one looks at race or anything of that nature just solely on merit and no matter where you come from or what you go through you have the same opportunity as the next person. Merit is the quality of being particularly good or worth especially so as to deserve praise or reward.
thing as a perfectly equal society. The reason being that no matter how hard you attempt to make
If there is any one ideal that we can say each individual in the world desires, it could very likely be equality. Over the ages, humans have been particularly interested in the equality between their fellow man. More specifically, man has been more curious about the concept of race and in finding a scientific validation for the noticeable difference between the races. As the field of science gained authority, the search for a scientific explanation for variations in mankind came to a head in the middle of the nineteenth century.
A society that is perfect, where everything is equal and everyone is happy, where there’s
Firstly, with everyone being equal, there would be no competition, so people wouldn't be motivated to do their best. “The year was 2081 and everyone was finally equal” (Pg. 1).Without competition why would people do their best, if they weren’t gonna get the satisfaction of doing something better than everyone else or at least try to. It's in human nature to be competitive and if everyone was equal, then there would be nothing to be competitive about. The elimination of competition eliminates motivation and if you eliminate
It has always been mankind’s nature to be equal or better than one another; as a society, as a group, or as an individual. We have evolved greatly over thousands of years, however we remain as a society with some bad habits. This is shown in the novel Uglies, model’s participating in annual Victoria’s Secret fashion shows, and the hit T.V show Botched. In today’s modern society, individuals or the majority of people will alter the way they appear or act in order to fit in with present day “Beauty”.
Most people would love a world where everyone is equal and no-one has to feel pain. This type of world would be ideal to live in, but what if I told you that a world like that is not so perfect at all? If everyone is equal we would all be the same, there would be no individuality. A world with no pain would also be a world with no happiness. Also, not everyone is going to obey the rules, so there will always be a rebellious citizen.
My Utopian society would be a calm, quiet place where everyone would be treated fairly and respectfully there would be no violence, it would be a peaceful
Having equality, to me, is one of the ways America can be a better place. I think this because having equality can help us unify as a country and not be so divided. If we had equality, it would benefit both men and women socially and economically; equality can help people be more open-minded about things. In conclusion, I believe the world could be a better place if we had
As time goes on more people are starting to realize what is right from wrong and understanding that everyone is equal. In today’s society most people understand that race doesn’t mean anything and that everyone should be treat the same and have equal opportunities.
Is there really a perfect world? Is there a perfect place where anyone can be themselves and not be discriminated against for it? Well if there is, it is not here in America. The United States is no utopia, it still has barriers to overcome in the matter of equality. The Unites States is not a post-racial country even though most Americans would like to believe so. Equal opportunity is just one myth america has to offer. The people in America are not viewed in the same way as one another, everyone is seen as different. People are often seen differently because they may look a different way.
Gender inequality has engulfed the United States and placed copious varying roles onto the male and female sexes. According to Leila Aboulela, Minaret, “All through life there were distinctions - toilets for men, toilets for women; clothes for men, clothes for women - then, at the end, the graves are identical.” Discrimination places women into different roles and takes away numerous privileges. However in America today after more than a century of struggles by dedicated activists who fought to alter these ideals and gain further rights, the perception of women in society and their contributions to society have been greatly transformed.
Imagine opening your front door and seeing a world filled only with felicity and bliss. A world without racism and gender inequality haunting our fellow beings. It would be the most paradisial feeling to have, being able to walk through the narrow alleys of Tokyo and not find a single man or woman without a home, or to see my phone every day and not see a single notification from the BBC News telling me that honor killing had occurred in Pakistan again yesterday night. Unfortunately, this moment has not come yet. However, once we exterminate the social injustices that are holding us back impartiality, I believe the world will finally reach the state of “utopia”.
The world is a complicated place and today's standards of society make it even more difficult to live and act in one's own way. I sometimes wonder what life would be like if we could start all over and build a brand new society - a society that guarantees social justice for all groups and full rights to every individual. Would there be a way to make everything and everyone equal? From the beginning society has been judgmental in one way or another, rather it is through racism, sexism, or classicism. There has always been a group of people who declared themselves righteous above all others and if one was not a part of this group he or she was discriminated against simply for not being the same as the dominating group.
