In every developed country electrical power has evolved from a luxury to an absolute necessity. Even though it is wonderful to be able to read a book using the light emitted from a lamp and people could easily use a candle. Now a more important application such as the ability to save lives using advanced medical equipment would be far too great of a loss, if were to go without power. So how do people continue to create and harness electrical energy? The large majority of electrical power comes from fossil fired or nuclear fired generation. For renewable sources of energy it is the most reliable even though it is variable. Different power generation methods have finite resources that will eventually run out. Other renewable energy resources while powerful are either unreliable such as wind are not always available such as solar energy. Through the use of dams we can store water to be used when needed to supply the demand caused by energy consumption. Using gravity water is allowed to flow through a turbine causing a generator to make electricity. When demand is low the water can be pumped back up into the containing reservoir to make another hydroelectric head. This process can just be continued creating a reliable capacity of energy. In the use of tidal power generation electricity comes in and out with the tide. There is a small marginal effect on the environment because no emission or hazardous waste is being made. While most prime locations for traditional hydroelectric power plants are already taken, there are plenty of locations to be used for tidal power generation. Once the technology to build underwater structures that are able to last against the harsh waves is more manageable there will be plenty of new location ready to be taken throughout the ocean. These generation plants will just be using water and gravity to supply power to meet the ever growing demand of the population. The archetypes in my story is the rule of three, nature versus mechanical world, and has a wise old man. These archetype were presented in my story because it was themed off of chinese culture. I believe the strength of my fairy tale is comparing the difference between what to do and not to do in a given situation. I do believe though that if given more time I would had made a better story than what i had right now. The story I have right now is completely different than what I had originally intended to make. I had to scrape the old fairy tale because it didn’t have any true themes like in other fairy tales. Life is a journey of self-discovery and every day I finding out new things about myself that previously I didn’t know about. Some days are a struggle for me but I know I must keep going in order to make my family proud as well as myself. Even when the going gets rough I just know that Maya Angelou said “I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” This helps me keep a positive attitude because I want people to have a positive opinion about me. Ever since I was little, when people asked me who my best friend was, my first answer was my mother. In 1831, scientist Michael Farday discovered the first form of electricity. He found that when a magnet moved inside a copper coil it created what is known as an electric current.
