Generation Archetypes

This world needs inspiration, to influence children to grow up and believe that anything is possible. Rachelle Salita-Siasat identifies the creation of these stories and their impacted on the audience. How archetypes still affect the modern generation when then the language structure has changed over time.

In my everyday life I strive to be the best person that I can be, I try to be my own person, and try not to care about what anyone thinks about me. Although this is the motto I try to live by, it is not always the case. I used to do gymnastics, and once all of my friends found out the completely made me feel like I was nothing. Two literary works that have similar archetypal meanings are Veronica Roth’s fictional story Divergent and George Lucas’s written film Star Wars. Archetypes are constant throughout all times and cultures. You find them in all of the most satisfying literature. An understanding of these forces is one of the most powerful elements in the storyteller’s toolbox. When you grasp the function of the archetype a character expresses, you will know his or her purpose in the story. The trickster embodies the use of mischief and the desire for change. “He/she cuts big egos down to size and brings heroes and readers down to earth” Vogler says. A trickster brings change by drawing attention to the imbalance or absurdity of a stagnant situation and often provokes laughter.

The archetypes in my story is the rule of three, nature versus mechanical world, and has a wise old man. These archetype were presented in my story because it was themed off of chinese culture. I believe the strength of my fairy tale is comparing the difference between what to do and not to do in a given situation. I do believe though that if given more time I would had made a better story than what i had right now. The story I have right now is completely different than what I had originally intended to make. I had to scrape the old fairy tale because it didn’t have any true themes like in other fairy tales. Life is a journey of self-discovery and every day I finding out new things about myself that previously I didn’t know about. Some days are a struggle for me but I know I must keep going in order to make my family proud as well as myself. Even when the going gets rough I just know that Maya Angelou said “I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” This helps me keep a positive attitude because I want people to have a positive opinion about me. Though, I do not know every detail about my personality, I know that I am a lover and a caregiver, who feels that music, the ocean, and Mccomb, Mississippi symbolizes them.

Archetypes are patterns from which other elements or ideas are derived. It can be something physical or symbolic, always capable of generating something more from themselves. You can also consider the archetype as an example. From the archetype, they shape behaviors and ways of thinking that are constructed by imitation or in search of similarity.

Every gardener knows that pruning a plant is just as important as watering, feeding, and weeding. Pruning cuts away the damaged, diseased, and dead parts of a plant. It gets rid of unnecessary branches that block the flow of air, inhibit sunlight, and lead to mil-dew. It cuts away dying flowers that if left will drain the plant of food and energy.

The Chinese and the Greek believe in many gods know as polytheism. The Greek and the Chinese have some different beliefs. The Greek are in Europe and the Chinese is in Asia. The Chinese and Greek the resemblance is the egg and the different is that how the earth was affected. The Chinese stories start with one god name Pan Gu and the Greek start with Nyx the bird. Ever since I was little, when people asked me who my best friend was, my first answer was my mother. She brought me to this world, shaped me into who I am today, and her impact will forever be present in my life. One usually does not think about the impact a mother may have on who we are, and how all the actions we make are based on different moments and events that have occurred in our lives. The presence of my mother in my life made me be a certain way, but not everyone falls under the same spectrum. In 1831, scientist Michael Farday discovered the first form of electricity. He found that when a magnet moved inside a copper coil it created what is known as an electric current.
