The genetic scientists, Baltimore and Berg, are reasonable about creating a conference between scientists and discuss the dangers and benefits of CRISPR on future generations. The genetic study experts such as Baltimore and Berg should create a scientific community to bring some regulations and limits to gene editing studies. The reasons why this scientific community will be useful is that it can prevent the negative consequences or unnecessary applications, regulate the knowledge and efficiency of scientists, combine the research to get more successful results and help to get more funds for studies. A scientific community can eliminate the bad uses of CRISPR and leads safer applications. In the history of studies about genetic alterations, there are examples that started with good expectations but caused failing (Rosner 2016). Although somatic cells don’t affect next generations, so it might be safer than heritable alterations. There are studies that make changes in germline cells creates heritable alterations. Heritable alterations directly affect future of the humanity, so there must be some limits to those kinds of studies.
