Currently, there is a slow, but hard battle on the labeling of Genetically Modified Organisms, more commonly known as GMO’s. Some scientist and farmers may say that GMO production is beneficial to their finances; however, it is a health risk on humans, due to the chemical and genetic engineering done to foods that naturally give us the nutrients we need. In this proposal I plan to talk about the steps I will be taking to achieve my goal and to engage my audience through different types of media. I will also provide my readers with the type of genre this all falls in to as well as my given plan of how I will portray this message and measure effectiveness. To begin, the problem on GMO labeling has both its negatives and positives about it. According to Jonas Kathage, who has his PhD in Agricultural Economics at the University of Gottingen states that GMO’s may cause farmers to increase their profit and sales with GM crops by 68%; however, even with the money increase, the farmers are still spending excessive amounts of money on herbicides and gene transfusions. Genetically modified organisms are also not a safe and healthy product. It goes through a genes transfer process that allows the infusions of genes from one plant to the other and through…
