George and Lennie have a very strong and special bond that is formed throughout this book, it’s formed on the foundation of hard work and a dream to buy a little ranch and live off of what the earth produces, such as crops and plants. On that ranch they plan to have animals such as chickens, rabbits, cows, etc they especially want to have their own ranch because no one tell them what to do. They can live by their own terms, make their own money, and most importantly they can never get kicked off their own ranch. The most important factor of George and Lennie’s relationship is their unity. They always stay together, which is very rare because men in this book usually stay by themselves so they don’t have to share anything such as money and food. …show more content…

Although what he says may be true he stays with him because he promised Lennie’s aunt Clara that he will look after him, so he feels the responsibility to keep his word. Apart from this, he also can’t live without Lennie’s companionship as damaging as it may be on George’s reputation. George and Lennie have lots of issues and problems individually but combined they have lots of strengths. For example George is wise and has an attitude but is weak, Lennie is retarded and the nicest person but gets bullied around by people that are smaller than him but are as strong as a bull. “Maybe he ain’t bright, but I never seen such a worker”. As for George, he is wise and warns Lennie of future problems such as Curley’s wife, “well, you keep away from her, ‘cause she’s a rat trap if i ever seen one he tells Lennie this because he predicts something bad is going to happen if he keeps giving attention to her.Everybody on the ranch has very different and unique personalities and Characteristics , but George and Lennie stand out from the crowd.
