The Party's manipulation, totalitarian, oppression, and the party's use of knowledge verses ignorance are present in the book so that Winston can face reality and realize he cannot win. As these themes are continually showcased throughout the book more Winston comprehend that the fight against Big Brother is inevitable.In today's, society I would believe that Winston could relate to boxer rebellion because they are both going against their current government.
