What is a Georgian? As a Floridian, the first word that pops into my mind (because it was all I heard my entire life in regards to the peach state) is “racist,” quickly followed by “good ole boy.” Having lived her for over five years, however, I don’t think that is a clear description in the least. While I certainly didn’t know the intricate histories that brought Georgia to the place it is now, I found it to be a much more integrated environment than my rural North Central Florida hometown. From “A Town” Atlanta to Savannah, I had never seen so much cultural and racial diversity as I have in Georgia – a state that I previously assumed was predominately full of white “good ole boys.” I began to wonder what gave Georgia its reputation of

One reason he wrote this, he says, “…put us in touch with the warm-blooded people around us while studying the dead ones behind us…” (Stewart xvii). We have to look into our country’s past and the people who lived during that time to see how we have been influenced by them. This book is a way for readers to connect with people from the past.
Apalachicola Bay is wide estuarine system located in Florida panhandle and covers an area about 539 km2 (Figure-1). The bay is relatively shallow with an average depth of 3.0 m. It is one of the most productive natural systems in North America and highly recognized by the state, federal and international organizations for its pristine water quality and unaffected estuarine habitats (ANERR, 2008). Apalachicola bay and its barrier islands were formed by deltaic processes of Apalachicola River, which is one the unpolluted alluvial system left in the United States. The bay is surrounded by four barrier islands, St. Vincent Island, Little St. George Island, St. George Island and Dog Island. The water exchange
“But now the secret may be out. An AOL.com travel story titled "Secret Beaches of the U.S."ranks Cumberland Island's beach among the nation's top 10 getaways for those who want solitude, sun and seashore at the same time” (Jackson, Gordon AOL). Cumberland Island is located in Georgia and is a National Park. Cumberland Island and Congaree National Park are both National Parks, but Cumberland Island is a superior place for summer activities than Congaree National Park because of it’s wide variety of thing you can do. Congaree Island has multiple summer activities such as kayaking and fishing, and is very popular. Nevertheless, Cumberland Island has varied summer activities such as swimming and hiking and would be more enjoyable if you are interested

It is quite commercialized with resort hotels and water parks, spa center, and campgrounds dotting its white sand shores, but the lake itself is breathtakingly gorgeous.
