So choosing a topic to write about was very hard for me, but then I sat down and started thinking very hard about it. Than I remember a process that me and my sister had to go through that was very hard, stressful, and a lot of work for us. After going through and doing every step we finally got our own apartment. So, my process for you guys is going to be on how to get your own apartment for the first time EVER! The process to getting your own place is related to becoming an adult and growing up. There are a couple of steps you have to do such as: find places that rent apartments and have some available, look around and make sure to check the places out that you look at or find. Ask a lot of questions such as: how much is the rent and …show more content…
Ask questions, so you know about the place you’re trying to get as in: how many rooms and bathroom, are pets allowed(if you own a pet), how much is it a month, what all do you have to have to try and apply for the apartment, the location of the place. Why it’s important to do that? It Is because you don’t want to jump into any place without knowing anything about it (like me and my sister had to do with Alvan Calhoon, which was not a good decision). No matter how long you have to search to find a place, eventually, a door with open and you’ll find the right apartment for you. The third step is after finding the place you want, fill out the application and do lots of paperwork for the place you chose. Now being young and doing it on your own can be difficult, because if you don’t have credit, you have to have a co-signer, which is very hard to find. Most places want a co-signer, simply because you’re so young and don’t have credit established just yet. That was the hardest part for me and my sister, we were young and on our own. But, after going through so many different places we finally found one called Burris Construction. That can work with you and does not do credit checks nor make you have a co-signer. You just have to sign a year lease and have proof of income. They are very good to go through especially if you’re young and doing it for the first time ever. I recommend Burris to everybody that is my age wanting to move out on their own for the
To start with, you should look into your bank account to figure out your budget and how much you can afford to pay for the house. It would not be smart to spend all the money in your savings account on a house. Moreover, you should know your needs to set up the budget. The budget completely depends on what you are looking for whether it is an apartment, a house, or even a villa. Knowing your budget is your first step into buying a house.
American’s deal with a serious challenge while looking for an affordable place to raise their families. Renting an apartment
Apartments are a better choice than houses because they don’t require as much work and commitment. It truly does depend on your preference. If you have a larger family, an apartment may not be the best choice. People sometimes spend months making the choice for their living situation because you don’t want to be unhappy since you may live there for over two years. The process can be dreading and tiring but in the end it will be worth it.
Finding a roommate may be a viable option if all other options hit the rock. Also, with a roommate, you may land a larger apartment. Ensure that the roommate you intend to share a house with has a good rental background. It may not sound a great idea to share the living room and kitchen, but it might just land you an apartment. The landlord may overlook bad rental history if at least one of the occupants has a good rental history and a good credit score.
When placing my life into the context of the world around me, it can be rather difficult to examine upon the struggles I’ve had upon my life. Particularly profound instances have scarred me to a certain degree, and for quite a while I’ve maintained an unhealthy manner of total repression from these happenings. However, as I move forward in my journey in life, battling to ward off the demons which have infiltrated my psyche since my youthful days, I hold the knowledge that I am not alone, and there are always people that care for me and my well being. This is where Affordable Housing has emaciating themselves in my heart forever. Without Affordable Housing, there is a fantastic chance that I am not the same happy, hard-working individual that I am today, and for that, I will forever be indebted to Affordable Housing. The impact
There are many things you should consider before relocating to another area this summer. These tips should make the process easier for you:
Renting does have a cheaper startup cost. Landlords want their renters to pay a security deposit which is the first and last months’ rent. Landlords charge a security deposit to cover any cost for repairs and cleaning if the renter damages the home once they move out. Buying a home does require a down payment which can be anywhere from 3% to 20% of the house price. The down payment will depend on what
The two can be different amounts. By working with the lender you can establish the amount you want to pay and value that equates to at today’s rates. This way you wont waste time looking at homes that are outside your price range.
Overall, buying a house is a big decision and should be looked at carefully. You should look at the advantages and disadvantages of each and decide what is best for you in your life. There is no way to pin point if buying or renting is best for anyone. Currently many prefer to rent their homes. However, as rent rise, a majority may soon change their minds.
Some individuals may believe that buying a home is part of the American dream and that renting an apartment does not compare, yet satisfied renters would disagree. Even though owning a home provides a sense of security while allowing modifications without permission, renting is preferred more often over buying because the expense of updating, monthly payments combined with utilities, and paying insurance on a home comes with a high price tag. A homeowner does have several luxuries such as forming lasting friendships with their neighbors, making landscaping changes to their yard, painting and designing their home. While that remains true, renting an apartment comes with several different options and

Those who rent from private landlords do not only tend to, on average, pay almost double the rent of a person living within social housing but also are twice as likely to live in a residence the Government would class as a “non-decent home”, a residence in disrepair and one that does not meet health and safety standards (Jonathan Owen, 2014). The undisputable growth of private renting sector is not limited to England but is also noticeable in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. In wales the private rental sector represents 14% of total housing, the private rental sector in Scotland has doubled over the last ten years as more than three hundred thousand properties have been sold and in Northern Ireland private landlords own more properties than councils and housing associations combined according to national figures provided in 214 (Jonathan Owen, 2014).
Why spend money that is really needed for other things? Why live uncomfortably? Why be trapped in this hole called a home that belongs to another person? Why not live free and peacefully? When a person rents he or she usually throws away money that could be used to purchase something that belongs to them. Money is not easy to come by so why pay out hundreds toward something that is not benefit to the person paying it out. There is no good explanation for making a decision like this. The best option in a situation like this is to buy a house. Buying a house is a better option than renting an apartment.

While it can be costly it is a safer place to live that has long term-investment and tax advantage. Buying a house may be difficult and it can be a confusing process, even for veteran buyers. Here are some tasks that housing experts say before getting into the buying a house. Get financials in order. Buyers should check their credit score, taxes, 401(k) s and other aspects of their financial situation to determine the maximum amount they are comfortable affording for their monthly mortgage, utilities, maintenance, taxes and insurance. Step 1: Make sure you’re ready to buy. Buying a home will most likely be the single largest investment of money made in your entire life. With that being said, it’s not a decision that you should rush into. Ask yourself: is it really time for me to buy a home? Some people see home ownership as a major milestone in the process of becoming an adult.
