The last three weeks I have learned about three habits, and they are; habit 1 being proactive, habit 2 begin with the end in mind, and lastly, habit 3 first thing's first, I have an so learned how to use them anywhere.lastly, how they can/will improve my life for good and help me through a difficult path.
The first habit was about being proactive which means going out doing things like working hard on school assignments or work.To be proactive is a big thing in life like being successful and working hard it can help you work anywhere if you're successful and not giving up on life. I think that this habit is very important in life and people without it are nothing because being proactive helps you move up in life. When you’re being proactive, you are one step ahead. You are trying to prevent problems from ever arising and if/when a problem does arise, you are prepared to tackle it. When you’re proactive, you are making things happen for yourself, rather than waiting around for things to happen to you.I will use it by being proactive playing sports includes being nice people and socializing in a good way, that habit means a lot of things and also this habit can help in a lot of ways.

Like for an example, I want to be a police officer, but people tell me to not be because I did a lot of bad things in my life, but I'm not going to let anyone stop me because I believe in myself and also believe I can make it and be successful and so I want to know if I'm too late to change to becoming a better person. It’s never too late to make a positive change and become a better person. Personally, I am always looking for new ways to better myself …whether that means improving my lifestyle, surrounding myself with more positive people, furthering my education,
When it comes to vision, we see things based on the light reflected from surfaces. The reflected light waves enter the eye through the cornea at the front of the eye, it's resized at the pupil, focused by the lens, and hits the retina at the back. The light is then detected by rods and cones, photoreceptors, which alters the light into electrical signals. The optic nerve transmits those vision signals to the lateral geniculate nucleus, where visual information is transmitted to the visual cortex of the brain then converts into the objects that we see.
The goal of this study is to collect, analyze, and interpret my variable expenses to increase my monthly savings. I will expose key variables, unnecessary expenditures, and develop a plan to manage those spending habits. The escalation of my variable costs has prevented me to increase my savings account, which has directly prohibited my efforts to make extra payments toward my investment property.
Lecture Question 1: The term attention requires several different processes including different kinds of behaviors and tasks in order to function properly. Attention comes from our cognitive processing systems and gives us the opportunity to select what information we want to process at any time. For example, when I’m looking through the lecture notes for this week, my attention has to be on what new information I’m reading about so that I can store the information and then use it to complete my homework. However, I cannot remember everything that is talked about in lecture, therefore I have to take notes down that way I can look back at them to remind myself of the new information I learned.
Over the summer, I read a book titled, The Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teens by Sean Convey. The seven habits described in this book were being proactive, Beginning with the end in mind, put first things first, think win-win, seek first to understand, then to be understood; synergize, and sharpen the saw. The first habit Being proactive means not to make choices on impulse. it means to evaluate the situation before making a desicion. for example, two years ago when i had friends that talked behind my back i just moved on and found better friends rather than be mean to them or excluding them out of my way. The second habit Beginning with the end in mind means to think ahead at what your goals are and start working towards them. My goal for the eight grade year was to recieve a 95% or higher score in all of my classes. in order to realize this goal i worked hard through the year on assignments and and sometimes did more than what was expected of me during projects. in the end, though,
This past week was a very important week, as my group and I filmed most of our sports documentary scenes. And although we have not finished yet, I think we as a group were more effective and focused on our work than we were last week. Before we started filming, I reserved two different locations for my group: the outside field on Monday, and a classroom on Tuesday. I did this after talking with them and making sure that this would be in their interest. When I brought my soccer ball the next day, I was expecting that we would get the whole class period to film. That didn’t happen, and I was reminded once again that you should always plan for setbacks. In addition to reserving space and bringing equipment, I explained Newton’s Laws of Motion
In this section I have combined the texts, in which I did the most analysis of my own works (Memo#1 and Memo#2) and the other works I have learned from (Week Reflections). Week 2 Reflection was a very important task for me, because it was the first analysis I have done in Writing 39 A class. In these exercises I have practiced the analysis skills, which I have learned. in these works I have worked on effective reflection on my own works, which helped me to find more strengths and weaknesses in my paper and improve
The last habit is win-win. I feel like I do a pretty good job at this one. I do care about the
The book “Mini habits: Smaller habits, Bigger results” written by Stephen Guise is one of the most fascinating and moving book every student should possess. The book studies one of the issues that face everyone. The book is interesting and informative in my opinion and it provided clear outlines on how one small change can create a big effect. I personally found it useful and applicable to my life, about how good habits could be started through a small change while giving many different results. I often wonder why sometimes my habits couldn’t be formed even though I tried many ways. I finally found the answer in this book because “the mini habit idea shades lighter onto how to grow in any sphere of life” (Guise, 2013. The book is also important
Habit 1 : Be Proactive. The Habit of Personal Vision. According to Covey, this habit reflects our innate ability to take charge of our lives. We are not simply products of in-grained stimulus- response reflexes. We have the ability to take charge, plan ahead, and focus our energies on things we can control instead of reacting to or worrying about things over which we have little or no control. This habit allows us to rise above the ebbs and flows of the tides of our day-to-day lives and direct our lives.
In this section, Stephen Covey introduces habit 3, which is “Putting First Things First.” Covey stated that, “Habit 3 is the personal fruit, the practical fulfillment of Habits 1 and 2” (155). Habit 3 is about the actualization, the will to become principle-centered. Habit 3 is about management, it follows leadership. Which was mentioned in Habit 2. Habit 3 also mentions The Power of Independent Will. Which is one of the most important factor of Habit 3. Other factors of Habit 3 are Quadrant II and Time Management.
This habit, along with the next two, deals with interdependence. This habit deals with genuinely striving for mutually beneficial solutions or agreements in my relationships. Valuing and respecting others by understanding that a "win" for all is a better long-term outcome than if only one person in the situation had gotten his or her way.
Habit 7 is called "Sharpen the Saw". It talks about taking care of your body, brain, heart, and soul. From my experience, I knew I had to care for myself and not worry about
Habit 1 discusses being proactive instead of reactive, and taking control of your own decisions and how that can benefit you. The author uses multiple examples on how to deal with certain situations and encourages/recommends self-courageous thoughts. An example of the author doing this was, “if you believe you are smart, that belief will cast a rosy hue on everything you do” (Covey 13). This statement alone can inspire many freshman and influence them to take more risks, and strive for greatness. It urges
In habit 3 is about put fun thing first before important things, like when there is a test is coming next week you can do whatever you like and relax but if the test is coming in 3 or 4 days study. I do my homework, and study on time, for example when the test is coming up on 3 or 4 days I study. The book also talks about get your confort zone out and I got my confort out when my friends are here. Also my family and I is going great we always make promises but sometimes break them..Like sometimes when I promise something When I promise to get straight A’s I break their promise. The 4 habit is about life is a competition so think win-win because work as a team or you had to feel the win-win attitude.I haven’t think about win-win attitude Spacing out that is always my problem cause when I’m reading a good book I space out all of sudden. I get mad at myself I had to start over and even I like the book so much or maybe in a conversation but is my fault I let myself space out, even people gets mad at me.Probing is hardest to talk about your emotions that you don’t want to talk about but I still talk about my feeling and
The first habit, is all about being proactive. “What does being proactive even mean?”, you might be asking. Well, being proactive means being proactive means solving a problem before it's even created, it means getting ahead, and thinking of the future. Many people get stuck in this curse called ‘procrastination’, don’t let the name fool you, it's really easy to get out of this curse and get your life on track. As my Mentor (Mr. Dufford, president of Altech Machining INC.) said, “Procrastination is about as ‘polar opposite’ to being proactive. Waiting & reacting to situations that arise usually leads to not so favorable decisions because you are forced to do something with less time to think it through.” I couldn’t agree more, it's always best to be ahead than fall behind.
