Stress is a normal thing we experience every day. The thing is, most people go through very high levels of stress on a daily basis, whether it 's work or family problems. Pretty much everything that comes our way in life can be a potential stress, maker. This is extremely unhealthy because stress can’t really be avoided, at least not completely. There are several ways to reduce stress, mostly like identifying what is stressing you out and confront it and to talk to people you trust- they might be able to bring some light to your situation. Also, it’s good to just take a deep breath every once in a while. Life can be overwhelming, but when it comes down to it, you control how much stress you can take.

Stressed? I understand how it feels. There’s always too much to do, yet another deadline, are too many people demanding your attention, and of course, money is always a little tight. These are all examples of things that cause stress that everyone goes through every single day. They all effect people in different ways. Some people react a lot more extremely than others and some people are able to shrug it off a little easier. Most people find different activities to help deal with their stress levels to make them more manageable, so they can continue with their day to day life. In “Techniques for Managing Stress”, Paul M. Insel and Walton T. Roth say, “People who manage stress effectively are not only healthier, but they also have more time to enjoy life and accomplish their goals” (1). The rest of this essay with focus on some of my day to day stressors and the remedies I have developed to help me relieve my stress. Work, money, and time are three of my biggest stressors that put me in my worst moods. My stress relieving activities consist of woodworking projects and playing disc golf.

Stress is inevitable and it's impractical to eliminate it from our lives entirely. Life is filled with challenges, and a life without some turmoil isn't solely not possible however it is also undesirable. The hassles, deadlines, frustrations, and demands of contemporary life have created stress therefore commonplace that it's become the simplest way of life for several for many.
Stress is a factor that is difficult to escape. It is a nuisance to experience frequently. Especially, as I enter university, the amount of stress experienced is profound. I believe I have had a dozen of mental breakdowns ever since my university life started. This could be due to the sudden change of lifestyle and new sense of independance. However, introducing art to the mixture of activities happening in my life has surprisingly improved my well-being in a variety of ways. My mind felt sharper and I was more motivated. In order to combat stress, art was our weapon to conquer it.

A typical option would be to take an art class to express feelings through paintings, drawings or even ceramics. Dance is another way to relieve the mind of stresses and worries. There are dozens of different types of dances for a person of any style or culture. Anyone in search of an activity as an escape for their mind should consider dancing instead of art.
