Task Rabbit
Task Rabbit is an online and mobile marketplace that connects people to accomplish certain tasks. Some may be tedious, such as errand running and others maybe be more engaging, like planning a large event. Their “network of background checked TaskRabbits can handle everything from laundry to graphic design,” (“About”). Thus far, the company engages in the domestic service market only. As previously stated, the culture of Australia is highly innovative with a entrepreneurial business acumen. This is why their culture will lend a hand in the success of the Task Rabbit venture. Australians are receptive to new businesses developing around them and are willing to try new things.
In the United States, Task Rabbit has set a high standard for delivering quality service to its customers. Part of Task Rabbit’s purpose is “connecting busy people who need a little extra time with entrepreneurial people who need a little extra money. It’s an elegant, singular solution to two big problems. Participating in the TaskRabbit community provides people on both sides of the marketplace with the resources and freedom to do what they love,” (“About”). Task Rabbit is booming in the United States and it seems as though there is a willing market in Australia, which seems simply enough it has a great chance of success in Australia. There would be many challenges Task Rabbit would face if they were to seek out the foreign market. Despite those challenges, I believe Task Rabbit will succeed based on the success and support they have received in the United States. The market in Australia demonstrates a need for this service-based business and it is auspicious time for Task Rabbit to capitalize on.

At the time of development of globalization there were many concerns about its benefits. However, it has brought significant changes in all segments of human life and International business is one area in which it contributed heavily (Reich, 1998). Companies all over the world are currently formulating their business strategies mainly after considering the trends in global market instead of domestic market. Outsourcing and offshoring are some of the new business principles emerged in this world after the implementation of globalization (Samimi and Jentabad, 2014). The core of these new business concepts is to exploit the business opportunities in overseas countries as much as possible (Samimi and Jentabad, 2014).

Although Australia may be perceived as very similar to the United States in many of their business practices as well as their culture, there are important differences to be aware of if interested in doing business in this country. The United States’ highly competitive, capitalistic nature breeds stiff competition, which is slightly different than the business culture of Australia.

There are (3) reasons why I have chosen energy drinks as my NAB. First off, there is a growing market for energy drinks. Red Bull and Monster Beverage Corporation, together, form over 80% of domestic energy drinks volumes by estimates. Dollar sales for energy drinks grew almost 6% to $6.67 Billion in measured channels in 2013, which propelled sales growth for convenience stores (Team, 2014). A growing thirst for caffeinated “energy” drinks, which include the likes of Red Bull, Monster, and Rock star, has spurred a heart-thumping surge in sales. Globally, the energy drink industry has gone from a $3.8-billion business in 1999, to a $27.5-billion

The development of start-ups is an important business activity that requires effort, time, and financial resources. It is important to correctly establish the resources that are required by opening a business in order to be able to successfully reach the objectives established for businesses in each situation. In this case, the business plan refers to developing a restaurant that focuses on providing meals that are based on organic foods.
In a global environment, the strategies that managers pursue have a significant effect on a business performance as compared to the competitors. Hill and Jones define strategy as a set of actions that a company’s managers put in place in order to increase performance of the company (2013). When the strategies lead to a superior performance of a company relative to its competitors, then the company is said to be at a competitive advantage. This is a case study of Federal Express, in the small package express delivery industry. It
