For some companies this also involves having operations in more than one country. The Human Resources professionals representing these global organizations have the essential task of managing the recruitment and the selection process. One of the most challenging aspects of this task may be finding prospective employees. To widen the talent pool, HR professionals have incorporated the use of social media to distribute job postings. They also use social media platforms to engage with future employees through content reflecting the positive aspects of working for their respective global organization. An additional hurdle that an HR practitioner will encounter during the recruitment and selection process is understanding different customs from their culturally diverse pool of applicants. Some ways that the HR representative will prepare for such a task is by researching the culture(s) of the prospective employee or reading news and current events of their native country.
