Global Warming
The earth is getting warmer, animals and their habitats are declining, human health is at risk and the cause of all this terror is Global Warming. Global warming will cause many parts of the world to change. In the next 50 years climate change could be the cause of more than a million terrestrial species becoming extinct. Sea levels will raise which means more flooding and is not good for the plants. With too much water the plants will die and herbivores will lose their food source as well as their habitats. As a result the food chain will be broken and survival for any creature is slim to none. In conclusion, Global Warming is an important issue, but before we can devise any solutions we must first understand the causes. This paper will focus on the causes of global warming and argue that excessive carbon dioxide emissions is the predominate cause. This paper will start of briefly discussing the history of Global Warming (GW) by explaining how greenhouse gases contribute to GW through the greenhouse effect and how production of these gases has increased along with rise in global temperatures. Next, it will explain the causes of global warming including carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrus oxide (fertilizer) emissions. The strengths and the weaknesses of each cause will be looked at; prompting the conclusion that inflated carbon dioxide emissions are the essential driver. The final segment of the paper will conclude and explain policy
Antarctic’s ice melt and accelerating sea level rise, the growing number of large wildfires, intense heat wave shocks, severe drought and blizzards, disrupted and decreased food supply, and extreme storm events are increasing to happen in many areas world wide and these are just some of the consequences of global warming. The fossil fuel we burn for energy coal, natural gas, and oil plus the loss of forests due to disforestation, in the southern hemisphere are all contributors for climate change. In the past three decades, every single year was warmer then the previous year and the warmest 12 years were recorded since 1998. We are overloading our atmosphere with carbon dioxide and trapping the heat and
Nowadays, Global warming is an incontrovertible fact, which proves that our planet and its climate are in trouble. Well global warming is a term that denotes a slow warming of the earth’s regular temperature. It was also named exclusively man-made effects, in particular carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide has largely increased during the past forty years, and scientists concluded that the average earth temperature has increased solely based on man-made activities such as the burning of fossil fuels, respiration of living organisms, cultivation of land, decay of dead organisms and deforestation. The study of global warming involves many sciences in order to examine the causes of global warming and try to find
Climate change. A phrase that encompasses a vast wealth of information, the totality of which is difficult to fathom let alone concisely elaborate upon in a condensed format such as a course or writing assignment. Through this course, the interconnectedness with which humans influence the balance of climate change is abundantly clear. Ecosystems plants and animals depend on are all connected and influencing one another but these scales are imbalanced, mostly as a result of human activities. The web of interconnectivity in climate change is complex, but there is a reemerging consensus at it’s core that human actions, such as global development, has major ramifications and the health and welfare of people and the environment are paying the price. Those daring enough to say they aren’t influencing climate change haven’t truly examined the many facets of their lives consuming energy and in turn increasing carbon emissions that alter climate. For most, transportation is a necessity. This usage requires energy consumption, most likely in the form of fossil fuel resource depletion and in turn the generation of carbon emissions. Transportation routes by land or sea may alter ecosystems that further elevate carbon emissions. With an understanding that the topic of climate change and carbon emissions is massive at best, the aim of this assignment will be to provide the reader with a basic understanding of greenhouse gases and carbon emissions and the relation to climate change. A
Global warming is defined as the continuing increase of global temperatures of the earth’s atmosphere and surface. This paper addresses the possible causes for this phenomenon, its effects on societal structure and policy, possible solutions, and the way going forward.
Global Warming has been devastating the earth and economy for the last twenty-five years. Greenhouse gases developed from the production of chemicals such as R-22, oil, and factories have been destroying o-zone and ecosystems. Carbon dioxide is developed naturally and absorbed by plants and animals, but, too much, and it good be deadly. With the increase in automobiles and production, the world government has begun to address the issue of greenhouse gases with limits and requirements for larger nations, with higher impacts of production and driving. The effects of greenhouse gases and global warming should be a major concern for society because the increased temperatures have caused degradation of permafrost, ozone to deplete, ocean levels and temperatures to rise, and promotes uncontrolled growth of plants and species causing some to become extinct.
As technology continues to advance, and as the population continues to grow and the individual life expectancy becomes longer, the global environment is being negatively impacted by various human and natural activities that are detrimental to the environment. Unfortunately there are many global environmental issues that need the attention of world leaders today, and have become undisputed environmental issues in today’s society. However, the most important public health, environmental issue I would like to address in my discussion is global warming. Furthermore, global warming influences a great amount of climate changes in the global arena. Hence, its befitting to say that, most issues associated with climate changes around the world and global warming or increased atmospheric temperature are intertwined.
Global warming is a naturally occurring phenomenon within our planet that needs to be reduced because it is affecting us in many harmful ways. It is one of the most current and widely discussed factors. It has been impacting us negatively in ways such as biodiversity and climate conditions. Several current trends clearly demonstrate that global warming is directly impacting on rising sea levels, the melting of ice caps and significant worldwide climate changes. Over the years, scientists have conducted experiments to understand the causes and effects of global warming and they have searched for solutions. They have warned others about the dangers of pollution and human activities and have urged others to do something about it. In short, global warming represents a threat to all living things on earth.
Global warming is one of the vigorously discussed topic on Earth today. According to a TechMedia Network, “Global warming is the term used to describe a gradual increase in the average temperature of the Earth’s atmosphere and its oceans, a change that is believed to be permanently changing the Earth’s climate.” (“Global Warming … Effects”). We have been witnessing the change in Earth’s climate since past few years, and we are well aware of the consequences of climate change as well. Global warming has managed to list itself as one of the biggest problem in the world, and according to the researchers and scientists, the ones promoting this problem are humans and their activities. Global warming is not listed as biggest problem of the world
Over the last few decades global warming has become one of the biggest environmental issues of all times. Every year, global warming gets worse and it’s affecting the way people live, it is affecting the atmosphere in general, and other living organisms in our planet. Global warming is the gradual and increasing rise of the overall temperature of the Earth caused by the greenhouse effect due to the increased levels of carbon dioxide and other pollutants.
Global warming is one of the most alarming and pressing issues that the world faces today. Global warming is the rise of the earth’s temperature over time. The damaging effects of global warming have become more and more apparent, with more tropical storms and hurricanes causing massive destruction, more animal species losing their habitats and coming under threat, rising sea levels, etc.
Global warming is already taking place. It stopped being a prediction. The temperature at the earth’s surface has averagely increased by around 0.60 C.Both the oceans and the air are warming. It is believed that the greenhouses gases’ concentrations in the atmosphere have increased dramatically since the periods of pre-industrialization. This condition is caused by the activities of human beings most especially through the burning of fossil fuels such as natural gas, oil, and coal (Wang & Chameides 1). Deforestation is also another cause. This essay will discuss what global warming is, its causes and effects.
Global warming is presenting a lot of environmental and health problems to many countries. A lot of heat gets trapped on earth due to formation of a non-porous layer gases below the atmosphere. The worst effect is felt by developing countries, which are also geographically disadvantaged. The establishment of such countries is on low altitude areas. This position makes developing countries to be direct victims of floods from the melting snow at high altitude areas. A lot of scientific research associates global warming with the numerous irresponsible human activities such as industrialization in the developed countries. These industries emit a high content of greenhouse gases like carbon into the atmosphere on a daily basis. The resultant
Global Warming effects on the natural balance of environment. The world climate is going a significant change day by day.
Global warming, the growth in world population and the continual increase in quantity of waste globally are serious environment issues and as a result, the public perception towards waste and waste to energy generation cannot be over emphasised. Improving public participation will go a long way to reducing the effects of waste combustion on the environment.
Global warming is a very important issue of which there are divided opinions. During the last 50 years global warming has increased at a remarkably accelerated speed, which may raise suspicions to find out why this is happening in this way. Some people believe that global warming is not real, but scientists say that if we do not slow gas emissions to the atmosphere, temperatures could rise by about 10 ° in the next century. There are many theories and reports that try to explain the reasons why this remarkable increase in temperature is happening. There is only one thing that is certain, and that is that if we do not join together to do something before it is too late, our planet will suffer great damage.
