The continuous rise in the earth 's temperature has been a current and widely discussed topic in today 's world. Roland Emmerich 's sci-fi thrillers "The day after tomorrow" and "2012" and scientific documentaries such as Leonardo DiCaprio 's " The 11th hour" and Davis Guggenheim 's " An inconvenient truth" aim to raise public awareness about the dangers of global warming and calls for immediate action to curb its destructive effects on the environment.
