There are many different views on whether global warming is actually real or not and possible catastrophic damage it causes. It is a big issue in politics now, everyone is arguing whether or not it is actually real or that it is just a weather pattern. People need to wake up and realize that it is real, just look at the shorter winters and the warmer weather. The Glaciers are melting, crazy weather patterns are happening, so what else could it be? We have more things to worry about as a government though.

Some causes of global warming are pollution, solar activity, CO2 emission, SUV use, Radiation from earth’s core, and many others. “Sport utility vehicles (SUVs) contribute significantly to pollution and global warming, according to the following view-point from the Sierra Club. Because the emit more carbon dioxide than do cars, SUVs contribute more to the greenhouse effect, which raises the temperature of the Earth. Although the technology exists to improve SUVs, the organization argues, Congress has bowed to pressure from automobile manufactures and refused to require SUVs to be safer, cleaner, and more fuel-efficient. The Sierra Club is one of the oldest and largest environmental advocacy groups in The United States.” (Bily 62) SUVs are a huge contributor to pollution and global warming, the waste so much gas and money.
“When it comes to wasting energy, SUVs are unrivaled. Built with outraged, gas-guzzling technology, many SUVs get just 13 miles per gallon. And the higher gas prices are, the more money they waste.” (Bily 63) If you don't think SUVs contribute obviously you're wrong, with the facts stated obviously SUVs have a big contribution because the use a high amount of gas and emit a lot of carbon dioxide.
