My long-term goal is to become a veterinarian. In 12-15 years I see myself in college studying to get my degree to be a veterinarian. Choosing my goal was important to me because I love animals and I love caring for and helping them. Looking after their well-being and keeping them safe and healthy would bring me great satisfaction. School is teaching me how to be a strong student so when I go to college I will be prepared to study hard. In the next 5-8 years I need to work on getting good grades in science, math, and health to achieve my goal. The high school I see myself going to is either South Milwaukee or Ronald Reagan high school. I would mainly like to study science and health because a veterinarian uses the main subjects with
I would like to be a large animal veterinarian when I grow up. I have picked this career because it has everything I want and desire to do. I would get to work with animals and the people in my community to make life better for all. As animals are a part of the family. I feel that I would be successful as a Vet due to my fondness of animals and my interactions with people. There is nothing better the wet kisses of a puppy and the smell of puppy breath. I currently volunteer at a local veterinarian office and love. I have seen and learned a lot of valuable lessons. While there are a number of different specialties such as small animal, exotic animal I would like to be a large animal vet and specialize in equine medicine.
My number one goal in life is to make a difference. I want to be the reason that people smile and have joy-filled lives. With this, I plan on either being a veterinarian or a chiropractor, which I will be going to Saginaw Valley State University in the fall to pursue. I want to either help animals, or I want to help people in my community by giving them the ability to have bodies free of pain, or at least reduced pain. I am currently looking more into being a chiropractor, because I have a more personal connection to this career, for my dad is disabled with chronic back pain, but seeing a chiropractor has turned his life around and he can now be my loving father again, instead of the depressed, pain-filled father I once had.
One of my main educational and also career goals in the world of veterinary medicine and animal health care would have to be completing all necessary courses to obtain my Veterinary Assisting certificate and going to work at a vet clinic. Eventually, I may chose to go back to school to complete the rest of the courses needed to become a Veterinary Technician. I have always grown up around animals so I assume that is where my love and passion for helping animals came from. As a young child and still to this day, I have always found comfort, peace, and an increased amount of patience in being around animals. I have also always been intrigued by the idea of therapy/service animals. I see those animals being able to truly make an impact on their
My legacy, the people I have touched, I have touched people my sister because I have prepared her through all of her grades and obstacles ahead of her and all of the little kids that I have played softball with an helped them for school tryouts. Some of my major accomplishments are in sports like making the school softball team in 6th grade and coming in second in our division another one is I worked as hard as I could and moved my grade from a C to a B.
Veterinarians can choose from different specialties for a career path. Even though choosing to specialize in large animal care is less lucrative than becoming a companion animal vet, there are many reasons to still choose it as a career. Unfortunately, there is currently a shortage of large animal veterinarians. There are several factors that contribute to this shortage, including financial, large rural areas and physical challenges. Veterinarians who care for livestock are important for the production of food and any shortages of these veterinarians may have a negative effect on agriculture.
To Be a Veterinarian Every career has certain requirements, expectations, and impacts on society. Being a veterinarian is no different. This job requires special education and training that leads up to a career in the profession. Within the profession, there are many different responsibilities.
Veterinarians have a very difficult and challenging job, but also have an extremely important duty to fulfill. Without veterinarians around the world we wouldn’t have anyone to take care of our animals and therefore provide us with beef and other meats, keep our population happy by providing care to their pets, and not to mention provide ranchers with the knowledge to keep their livestock alive and healthy. Becoming a vet isn’t easy though. Being a veterinarian requires at least 4 years of college to earn your bachelors degree plus an additional 4 years at a “veterinary school.” After attending 4 years of vet school you will earn your Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree.
Veterinarian As you know a lot of young kids are studying and looking into what career they are going to pursue in the future. In addition there are a lot of different kinds of Holland types that careers can fall into. The Holland type that stands out the most is Investigative and Realistic. The career that stands out the most to me is a Veterinarian. Although this job is working with animals to make them healthy and examining them to treat them, people also have to be able to diagnose and do surgery.
A British actress named Hannah Murray once said, “I really loved animals when I was little - my friend and I had an imaginary vet 's office; we would mime doing surgery on animals. We treated more injuries than illnesses - fixing with a baby bear with a broken leg, removing a tumor. Of course, our surgeries would take about five seconds; that 's how good we were.” As far back as one girl can remember, she always had a pet of some kind. She currently has a pet dog, and she became sick, and would have seizures. When her mom and took her to the Vet’s office, she remembers how the doctor saved her dog’s life and how grateful she and her mother were to not lose a member of our family. The career of a veterinarian is a rewarding career, because one has the opportunity to care for beings who can’t for themselves. The research will describe the career of a veterinarian, what is required to become successful, and the impact this career has on society.
Five years ago if you asked me what I wanted to be when I was older I would have answered with Veterinarian. Still to this day I answer that same question with the same answer. When, I get older I truly want to become a veterinarian. I really love animals and I will do anything I can to try and help them and make them feel better. Being a Vet also pays really well but I wouldn’t just do it for the money. As long as I keep another animal from dying I will be happy enough.
