According to George Sheehan,” Success means having the courage, the determination, and the will to become the person you believe you were meant to be.” They have to put their mind to it and know that he or she will want to become better students. Establish goals, manage time wisely, and determining their learning styles are a few strategy pointers they may practice becoming a good student. The first strategy would be to establish their goals. When he or she is establishing their goals it is always best to have long-term goals and short-term goals. Short-term goals are something they will want to accomplish soon, for example, today, this week, this month or even this year. They can accomplish short-term goals within 12 months such as the following: taking a class, writing a resume, or maybe even buying a television. Short-term goals are accomplished in a short period of time, which can be strategies completed that can lead to your long-term goal in the future, and long-term goals are future goals accomplished in a long-period of time. Long-term goal's something they want to do in the future. Long-term goals are nothing that they can accomplish within a year, it usually takes longer. Examples of long-term goals are such as the following: start my own business, save for retirement, or graduate from college. Goals are viewed as “decision-making”.
