In the era of hot takes, comment sections and social media outbursts being used as methods to gain attention, I can say from the bottom of my heart that none of those are the reasons I present my against the grain opinion of the Golden State Warriors. If I’m about to come off as a bitter Cleveland Cavaliers fan (I am), then so be it. I’m not so blinded by my love for Cleveland sports teams that I can’t admit: The Golden State Warriors are the best team in the NBA right now. That doesn’t mean I can’t hate them unconditionally. Despite winning the NBA Finals in June, the Warriors have made it known their primary motivation this season is derived from their doubters. Furthermore, Las Vegas pegged my Cavaliers as the favorites to win this season’s …show more content…
It became abundantly clear that I hated the Warriors more than Merril Hoge hates Johnny Manziel. Because Steph Curry and Klay Thompson (not the entire Warriors team) are fun to watch, I think Golden State is getting a hate pass. Is a hate pass a thing? A little more than a week ago, the Milwaukee Bucks snapped Golden State’s 28-game regular season win streak. As I basked in the tiny moral victory, during a regular season in which the Cavs could finish .500 and I wouldn’t care as long as they were healthy, the Warriors whined like school children during a middle school recess touch football game after the loss. The Warriors were upset with the Bucks’ celebration after Milwaukee ended Golden State’s record streak. Boohoo. The Warriors want to talk about winning with grace? Try losing with grace. Regarding Curry, I’ve never done a 180-degree turn on a player like I have with Steph Curry. Davidson Steph Curry — I loved that guy. He was an underdog and someone I could root for. His play in two consecutive NCAA Tournaments was some of the most fun I’ve had watching sports. Today, Curry is too mainstream, being billed as a cultural phenomenon. His pregame routine seems to receive more public attention than the games he plays
During the 2015-2016 season, Lebron James went home to the Cavaliers and went on to have wins of 57 and losses 25. In the playoffs, the Cavaliers were playing the Golden State Warriors. The Cavaliers were down 3-1, if they were to lose
Steph Curry is one of the best point guards in the NBA. I chose to do Steph Curry because he is a great, hard-working, determined, joyful, and an amazing basketball player. He has broken many of records and plays for one of the best teams in the league, the Golden State Warriors. Steph is very passionate about what he does and works very hard in practices and on the court, and most importantly, he never gives up.
Have you ever wondered who is better the Warriors or the Cavaliers? Who is the better team? Who has better players? Have you guessed who has a better chance of winning a championship? Who has the best stats? And what player has a better chance of getting a MVP? Read to find out.
The article written by Bruce Jenkins starts off by saying that the regular season of the Warriors was a “bumbling mess”. This article was written to be read generally by the people of San Francisco and Warriors fans. The Warriors went from a historic 73-9 record in the 2016 season, to a 67-15 record in the 2017 season, and a recent 58-24 record in the 2018 season. At the beginning of the article, Bruce talks about factors that have led to the teams bumpy season like not having a reliable center. He says that the team has reached a point to where the team’s centers are not feared by any postseason opponent. Towards the end of the article, Bruce talks about the future of the team and things to consider. He talks about possible matchups and how the team isn’t ready defensively to play, even if Stephen Curry is on the court. With the article discussing the Warriors’ downward spiral, the article uses the devices of ethos, logos, and pathos.
NBA article NBA fans still shocked about Kevin Durant leaving Oklahoma City and how much hate he is getting from all his fans and the community of NBA basketball. LeBrone James still thinks Cleveland cavaliers should trade more players even when they recently had Kyle Korver. LeBrone also thinks he can keep functioning Cleveland without Kevin Love on the team. We the community do not like the way NBA players move teams and leaving their old team into the dust. Many players like Kevin Durant, Dwayne Wade, Derrick Rose and Kyle Korver have left their team to join a new one.
Stephen Curry’s return was nothing less than positive deviance as he heroically overcame trials. During the first round of the NBA Playoffs Curry had suffered from a sprained right Knee which disabled his game appearance for 3 weeks. Although his injury was unfortunate Curry spent vast amounts of time rehabbing throughout recovery period. Due to Curry’s breath taking performance in Game four of the Western Semi
Three time NBA champion, Lebron James in his interview, “Lebron: I’m coming back to Cleveland” notes that he is returning to Cleveland after his four years in Miami after abandoning Cleveland in 2010. He supports his claim by first stating his feelings for Ohio, and what Ohio meant to him. Secondly, he explains why he abandoned Cleveland, and it was because of winning championships. Lastly, he promises Cleveland that he will give it his all to bring Cleveland’s championship drought to an end. James’ purpose is to prove to Cavalier fans that somewhere in his heart he still has a place for Ohio in order to convince the fans to believing in him once more. He establishes an enthusiastic tone for his fans, and Cavalier
Standing on the floor of Quicken Loans Arena, Stephen Curry wins his first ever NBA Championship. Game six of the NBA Finals has ended and thousands of fans scream and shout with excitement. Stephen Curry is looked at as the leader of the Golden State Warriors, the winners of the season. Considered one of the greatest shooters of all time, he is adored across the country. Stephen finished the season with a championship and MVP award, and at first glance it seems simply because of his hard work and dedication to sport he loves. However, other factors may have been involved that lead him towards his accomplishments.
Stephen Curry’s hard work started to bring attention to him. Although nationally ignored since his young age, Stephen Curry’s accurate 3 point shots could not be ignored anymore. His 3 point shots led the team into
This happens to be an incredibly popular statement that I have seen being used across social media. Many fans label Kevin Durant as a ?coward? or a ?snake? and claim that he ruined the landscape of the NBA. Throughout this article I am going to be talking about my thoughts on two differing perspectives: Kevin Durant couldn?t win so he left to win a guaranteed championship, and this is exactly the same type of rivalry we have seen throughout the history of the NBA. At the end, I will reveal my true personal opinion on the subject and my current thoughts about the Warriors and this series going forward.
I am going to try to persuade you in thinking that Stephen Curry is the best player in the NBA as of right now. With the following arguments that that will be made in this argument.
Today I am blogging about Steph Curry. In my mind besides Micheal Jordan Steph Curry is the best. His recent game versing the Cavaliers, Golden State won.But recently I heard "Steph Curry has been a boon for Under Armour's brand, but his star power has diminished a bit this year. And he recently took issue with political statements from Under Armour’s CEO." Steph Curry was the best player on his team (Golden State Warriors) but recently "The Golden State Warriors are once again cruising through an NBA season, but last year’s MVP Steph Curry isn’t having quite the same success. His scoring is down five points a game from last year’s average. Curry is arguably not even the MVP of his own team anymore, given Kevin Durant’s arrival on the Warriors."
Currently, the Warriors still lead the series at 2-1, but the resilient Rockets managed to bounce back and closed the gap with a one-point victory at Game 3. Curry’s injury will continue to test Warriors’ tenacity, without their top scorer the Warriors need to take some drastic measures, taking some replacements. The Warriors will likely turn to the capable Shaun Livingston as Curry’s temporary replacement, while Andre Iquodala and Draymond Green can also make some contributions and ball-handling roles. Since the two have plenty of experience initiating game sets and taking ball
The team that Curry has is a record setting team that fits to his playstyle. Curry’s teammates helped him flourish to the special player he is today. Curry has teammates that are willing to sacrifice their points to help the team win and vice versa. According to the chart in NBA.com (Stephen Curry Career Stats), it portrays how many assists Curry has produced. An assist is where a player passes the ball to another player who then scores. Curry has averaged 6.9 assists throughout his entire career and he has played with the same team all those years. Those plays involve an intricate set of movements that so far have been successful for Curry’s teammates. There are some who would say that those plays can be run for any player and have the same outcome. The matter of fact is that specific types of players have different types of roles and abilities. And Curry’s teammates have proven to execute plays and compliment Curry’s playstyle
After an uncanny off-season, there have been a number of teams that have improved significantly. Obviously, the Golden State Warriors improved with the addition of Kevin Durant. But, there were teams in the Eastern Conference that made a big splash as well. As it's been known since he pretty much stepped foot on the hardwood, the mission for teams in the East to create a team in pursuit to dethrone "King James."
