Introduction This reflection paper is written after reading one of the number one best seller books, “Good to Great”, written by Jim Collins. This paper will attempt to give a high level overview of the book as well as personal reflection to the similarities to the course learning, key takeaways and any valuable information that will assist me in my career. Why your chose this book I chose the Good to Great book for the simple reason it was one of the titles that I had heard about. Everything that I had heard was very positive. I researched a few others on-line and thought this would be the most interesting. Author Biography Jim Collins is a well-known author and co-author of six books that have sold more than ten million copies worldwide. They include: Good to Great, Good to Great and there social sectors, Built to Last, How the Mighty Fall, and Great by Choice. Jim has spent more than twenty five years researching these topics. Jim attended Stanford Graduate School of Business and received the Distinguished Teaching Award in 1992 and 1995. After graduation he worked as a consultant for McKinsey & Company then as a project manager for Hewlett Packard. Jim is the founder of a management laboratory in Boulder Colorado. He conducts research and teaches executive from the corporate and social sectors. Jim holds a bachelor 's degree in mathematical sciences and an MBA from Stanford University, and honorary doctoral degrees from the University of Colorado as
