I believe I should be awarded this scholarship because I have great leadership and many other great characteristics. I helped raise awareness of obesity in our county to help in getting our percentage back down. I mentored younger children that came from low-wage families on why it was so important to eat right and get an adequate amount of activities, as well as rest each and every day. I did this by using the "GO, SLOW, WHOA" program to make it easier for kids to understand what foods are "go" foods which you can eat as much as you want, which foods are "slow" foods which are foods you should only eat every now and then, and which food is "whoa" foods which you should try to avoid this foods when ever possible. After we presented our presentation
I strongly believe that I deserve the “Courage to Grow” Scholarship, because not only am I a dedicated and hardworking growing young adult, but I also incorporate those traits to what I value the most, school. Ever since I started school, I have worked hard to where I am now. I have a 3.8 G.P.A. On a 4.0 scale which I have worked long nights for. Since throughout all of high school I have been, an still am, involved in many extracurriculars such as DECA, Interact Club, Spanish Honor Society but also managed to be involved in sports as well like Indoor Track and Field, Outdoor Track and Field and Cheerleading. Being a top, varsity athlete in all, has taught me many valuable traits which have helped also become a wonderful young adult.
I believe I should be selected for the Schulich Leader Scholarship because I have been academically successful, demonstrate leadership capabilities, and believe that my dreams and creativity will allow me to paint the future with bright colours, for myself and others. My experiences make me unique from anyone else, and I hope to do myself justice in six hundred words.
I deserve this scholarship because I am hard working and it wouldn’t be a waste of money on some dumb teenager and because my parents don’t have a lot of money, but I also deserve it because I want to go to college to be a police officer and protect the american people, change how police officers are looked at and so I can serve justice to people who deserve
I believe that I should be a recipient of the North Iowa Fire Scholarship because I have spent countless hours in the gym. Committing my summers to nothing more then playing basketball and I would not trade any of it away. All of the car rides and late nights have gotten me to where I am now. I worked with the Fire to become a better basketball player, but I have received far more. The friendships, life lessons, and memories that were formed in my six years with the North Iowa Fire will stick with me throughout my life and I am so grateful to have been blessed with this
I am highly confident that I deserve the MoolahSPOT scholarship because I am hard working. I am a highschool cheerleader and I work extremely hard to come up with a variety of ideas to lead people to cheer. I am very positive, I like to help children and young adults incorporate new cheer, exercise, and chant to our daily life in general.
I am honored to submit my candidacy for consideration as one of the two recipients of the Phi Theta kappa Gold Scholarship. I believe that my excellent academic record and active involvement in Phi Theta kappa both locally and regionally makes me a good candidate for the scholarship.
I think I would be a good recipient for this scholarship. Due to my academic achievements and because my parents moved to the United States to give their children a better life and education. With this, my parents have instilled in me a dream to graduate college and become successful. My mother is always telling me how she wants me to do something great with my life, and she keeps on encouraging me to get through college even if money is tight. She reminds me and my siblings that we can never give up and that we have to push forward because she has sacrificed so much so we can be where we are now. I am extremely grateful to Rich Mountain Community College for providing concurrent college classes at Wickes/Cossatot River High School because it gave me a great opportunity to get ahead in college. I currently, have 53 hours, and I currently hold a 3.2 GPA this semester. This has not been easy, since I work part time, but it does show me I am capable of doing it. With personal commitment and determination, I know I have the power to excel in my all classes.
Scholarships are distributed differently between Division 1 and Division 2 athletics. The NCAA does not appear to be concerned with the roster size of a team when developing the rules governing how scholarships are distributed. A high school athlete’s dream is a full ride to their favored college. However, reality is, the scholarship offered can be far less, dependent upon the sport they play. Football and basketball are the favored sports at the collegiate level based on the NCAA’s rules of distribution.
The definition of judge is “to form a judgment or opinion of; decide upon critically.” I’ve been judged, you’ve been judged, all of us have been judged and all of us have judged. That person you judged, because they were walking funny, they had surgery on their foot and were told they would never walk again. That boy that stutters, he has abusive parents. That girl that is stuck up, her dad was sent to jail and her mom died.
I am the most qualified to receive this scholarship, because I’ve had to work for the things that I’ve gained. I’ve had to overcome things that others wouldn’t be able to handle. No matter what has tried to hold me back I’ve always put it behind me, and did my job I never let it hold me back. I’ve always had a hard work ethic, and have always kept my grades up to stay in the ten percent of my class. I’m also a leader. At the moment I’m leading a workout movement at my school where more and more people from my school come to the civic center to workout. I know how to lead, and motivate them to work. You have to keep your workers morale up, and make them want to work. You have to encourage them and show them that they can do great things. I’ve
I believe I deserve to be considered for the BG scholarship award because as a student and a young adult I’ve put in a tremendous amount of effort into everything I do to improve myself. With the money provided in this scholarship, I could further my education towards my goal of a communications major thus improving myself by advancing my education.
I am deserving of the SAO scholarship because of my personal development in multiple areas. I have overcame many obstacles that helped me become the person I am today. Growing up, I was a quiet and studious child. I always took school very seriously, but was limited socially. It took me years of being breaking out of my comfort zone to help me get to a better place. This breaking out of my comfort zone led me to a path of self-discovery.
I believe that I should be awarded this scholarship because I have a stable mentality that education will reward you, I am driven, motivated, and reliable. I always follow through with my homework and I know how to push through the roughest times. Last year I became suddenly chronically ill, and I pushed and pushed because there are bigger things that I need to strive for. I can't wreck myself because my life has taken a different route, it's all about improvising. My academic goals are to attend a university and become a Primary Care Physician this is important to me because I wanna be the doctor that helps instead of sending them away to live in pain. My contributions to the school haven't been great but I've done what I can. In the fall
I should be selected to receive this scholarship because I have gone above and beyond to put all my effort and dedication to my studies and my work. I have overcome struggles by always doing my best and not giving up. I know I eligible to receive this scholarship because Taco Bell has taught me to always see the best in others, just how they see the best in me. I would be grateful to receive this scholarship because it would ease my financial situation. Every college student knows that acquiring a college degree is very expensive, however, there are opportunities that we should never take for granted and do our best to get them. This scholarship is a one of those great opportunities because I do not only have a great job, there is also the
I deserve to be a recipient of the Gen and Kelly Tanabe Scholarshipbe because being a person that is dedicated to work, and having the capability to learn is an essential part in life. I have learned that my motivations and the ability to not just share it with myself, but with others as well can go in an wonderful direction in life. I constantly set objectives in my life that will portray my future. My choices categorize where I position my life as I follow through it respectively every day. To be awarded this scholarship would intensely help me achieve my goals and share with others the
